The next day, everyone was very busy in the palace ,putting up decorations for the Royal wedding. Messengers were sent to the Benin kingdom to inform his mother and people about oba omonuwa's arranged marriage. Oba rose up early in order to get a little tour of the Nnewi kingdom while he set out for a morning Stroll, he met Adaeze outside the palace gates also going for a stroll and they greeted each other and were walking beside each other in awkward silence. Then Oba omonuwa broke the silence and asked" uhmm by the way I'm omonuwa and you're princess Adaeze right? Yes she replied "I recall seeing you and another lady around the road to the market square the other day, I was the one who asked you for directions". "Yes I remember, the other lady is my personal maid Amara, in fact we were shocked to see you were the Benin king, you kind of took us by suprise" said Adaeze, He laughed and apologised for startling them. Then they talked and walked for the rest of the morning. She took him to her favourite spots in the kingdom and they even had breakfast together outside the palace. They enjoyed each others company and they returned back to the palace. As they entered the palace the queen and Amara saw them from afar walking side by side and this made them happy. When Adaeze got to her room, Amara followed her and started teasing her" where were you guys all morning?, what were you lovebirds talking about?". "Go away "Adaeze said playfully. They both laughed and Adaeze told Amara about their little stroll and how she enjoyed his time. The wedding was fast approaching and every one was getting prepared, some chiefs and family members from the benin kingdom arrived for the wedding but the queen mother could not make the trip because she was slightly ill. So the Benin chiefs told oba and he was sad that his mother could not come. The wedding ceremony happened the next day and everyone celebrated in the grand wedding because the kingdoms were now joined. After the wedding, Adaeze was going to return to the Benin kingdom with her husband and this broke her heart. Her father asked Amara to follow her and as they packed her things,it finally occurred to her that she would no longer be able to see her parents everyday and she broke into tears" mom, dad how am I going to live without you guys, I'm scared,i don't want to go, I want to stay here with you guys" her parents both hugged her and her father said" My daughter, although we may be far apart, but our love ,prayers and blessings will always be with you. We love you and we will also miss you." Then her mother said" don't be scared my child, you are going to be loved where you are going to, I trust that I have trained you well and our blessings are with you. Remember your home training and be kind to your in-laws. You are no longer a princess, you are a queen so you have to be strong". They also cried and said their final good byes before she climbed the horse with her husband and they all left. It was a journey of two days and finally they reached the great Benin kingdom, her new home.
