waking up from my short nap i turned over gently in bed to see Draco asleep next to me his features relaxed and calm for once in a long long time
sighing peacefully i began to crawl out of bed to put proper pyjamas on my clothes beginning to annoy me as if they were pressing to far into my skin
flopping back into bed once in my comfy grey pyjama set i laid still for a while till Draco began to stir in the bed and wake up looking for me with a slight panic when i wasn't resting on top of him like i was when we fell asleep
"hi baby how was your sleep" i asked sitting up slightly so he could locate me easier and didnt panic as much as he was right now
"it was okay i guess when did you wake up to change" he asked pulling me closer to him and leaning back into the bed sighing
" about an hour ago it wasn't long baby don't worry" i said kissing his cheek as he closed his eyes in exaughstion
i hate thinking about what he had been through and how much pain he must have been in not only from the obvious torture he received but from the pain of being away from your mated person when they are in distress
if only i could have noticed it wasn't my Draco faster i could i saved him sooner and he wouldn't have been in so much pain as he is in right now , i could have stopped this if i wasn't so focused on myself and making Umbridge pay i could have saved him so much pain but i didnt
"what are you thinking so hard about mon amour" Draco asked spooking me from my darkening thoughts
do i tell him
"nothing i just zoned out, finally able to rest now your back safe right? " I said immediately feeling a pool of guilt in the base of my stomach for lying to him
well its not really lying I'm not thinking about anything serious or anything i can change now right so its fine it wont matter much what my thoughts are he should be focusing on resting and getting better for his parents and for me right
"i guess so mon amour but if anything was wrong you tell me right away I'm here to help you Chica so let me help you" he said smiling softly
"of course now rest I'm going to go fetch your father he wanted to speak to you about what you have missed and approximately when you were taken okay?" i asked getting out of bed and walking out of the room smiling at him till i shut the door my face falling as i did so and the pool of guilt returning as i faced the waiting room
"Draco's awake now Lucius he's ready for you to speak to him " i said smiling at him making it seem as if i was all happy and everything was okay
its fine its just a small mood right
