Chapter 7: It's Showtime! And Drifting Away

The Next Day

Today was going to be big, as it would be my first time performing for the children as a Daycare Attendant. I remember seeing some of them before I became assigned to the Daycare, but other than that I haven't had many opportunities to actually put on a show.

I recently received a new upgrade that made me able to play the Violin. Now I was stuck with trying to decide how I wanted to perform. I was now the first and only Daycare animatronic that knew how to play an instrument.

To pass the time before my performance, I decided to practice my singing and using the hoops that were hanging from the ceiling of the Daycare. Sun and Moon didn't know it yet, but I had a secret pair of Bat wings that were leftover from when I was going to be a Glamrock animatronic.

Ah, screw it! I said to myself as I pulled out my new Violin. I was still 'flying' through the hoops as I played the instrument. It wasn't long before I noticed Sun and Moon watching me, their expressions were that of admiration and amazement.

I was able to perform stunts with the Violin in my hands, but if a human attempted what I was doing, they'd either drop the instrument or injure themselves. It felt good to know that I already had two fans watching me, and for a moment, all of my negative emotions disappeared.

Much to our disappointment, the show had to come to an end, as parents were starting to let their children into the Daycare. I quickly descended onto the ground to prepare myself in my room.

Timeskip

Sun and Moon had entered my room not too long ago to tell me that the children were waiting for me. Though I was terrified on the inside, I put a smile on my face before I made my way onto the stage outside my door. To make it more fitting, I stood behind the closed curtains I had as I aligned the rings on my head to mimic the setting sun, which in turn made the Daycare lights turn off.

Once I was ready, I sang the opening of my song behind the closed curtains and waited to emerge in front of the excited children, and an even more excited Sun and Moon.

The music began to play after that last note, and with that, the curtains opened, revealing my waiting figure. As soon as the music kicked up the beat, I started to sing again while also showing off some of the new upgrades I was given.
