To Engage With Destiny

"I'm running late!  Aah!  I can't believe I overslept!!!"

A girl born with abnormal hair and eyes was running in panic.  She nearly overslept and if she doesn't hurry, she'll be late to class and receive a heavy scolding.  It was her first day of her second year, now she's already messing up badly.  That girl's name... was Alear.

Alear checks her watch without even looking at where she is going.  "If I hurry, I can make it in time-, aah!"

Unintentionally, she bumps into someone with blond hair and green eyes.  Alear quickly got up and apologized while running to her school.  "I'm so sorry!"

The blonde boy just stared at her, confused.  But he got up and headed back to where he was supposed to go.

A COUPLE OF MINUTES LATER

Alear sat down at her seat, luckily for her, she managed to arrive in time, 2 minutes before the bell rang.

"I made it in time..."  She said while panting.

"Did you oversleep again?"  Came a voice that was behind her.

Alear turned around and saw one of her best friends, Timerra.  She usually was cheerful, but when it came to Alear sometimes being irresponsible, she had to scold her.

"Sorry Timerra."  Alear apologized.  "I just had a weird dream last night and I guess I couldn't wake up..."

"A dream?  What was it about?"  Her friend asks curiously, with her eyes sparkling.

Alear ponders as she tries to remember.  "I had a dream of a blue-haired boy, roughly around my age, telling me "Your time is coming.  When we meet again, I hope you remember" and something after that.  I don't really remember."  She says as she sighs.

"A boy?  You're not dreaming about your prince charming, are you?"  Timera teases.

Alear looked like she panicked, but she wasn't embarrassed.  "What!?  No?!  It's not like I can control what I dream!"

Timerra laughs.  "Joking, joking.  I was just teasing you."

Alear and Timerra soon stopped talking after the teacher arrived.  Due to the number of new students, they all received new lockers.

Alear and Timerra's lockers were near each other luckily for them.  But something had caught Alear by surprise as she opened her locker.

She expected her locker to be empty, but instead, she found a ring.  A golden ring with a blue gem.

Alear was confused.  Did she get the wrong locker?  She doubled checked but knew this was indeed her assigned locker.  Where did that ring come from?  I didn't look like it was there for a long time, however.

Alear wanted to take the ring to the lost and found, but she felt a deep connection to it, and decided to take it with her instead.

"I wonder where this ring came from..."  Alear thought.  But she shook her head and decided to head to class.

AFTER CLASS ENDED

Finally, Alear could head home after a lot of classes and other things.  She wanted to head home, but her parents would arrive late at night due to their work, so she decided to walk around for a bit.

She passed by her favorite Arcade.  But she was too exhausted to play there.  But she did say hello to the guy who worked there and had a brief chat.

She then decided to head to the supermarket to buy some groceries.  She took the bus and decided to sit at the back.  She then continuously stares at the ring.
