See what happens when you let someone in? They break you. You are broken now.

My eyes began to water again but I just blinked away the unshed tears.

Don't let him see. Don't let anyone see.

My spirit brightened when my apartment came into view, I sat up and pointed at it before saying, "It's right there, my apartments I mean."

Stefan looked at my hand then towards the direction I was pointing, he turned and pulled into the garage areas.

"I'm in garage number 5." I stated and directed him to my designated parking garage.

Once we found it I pressed the remote to open one of the big doors. Stefan pulled the car slowly into the space and turned it off.

He turned to me and handed me my car keys, "Here we are, home sweet home."

Is it?

I nodded subtly,"Yeah...um thank you so much again for the ride home, I really appreciate it."

Say your goodbyes and go, Amanda is waiting.

Ask them inside.

I was completely speechless, where had that other voice come from?

Invite them in.

"Um, this may be a little too foward but...would you like to come inside? For maybe some tea or coffee?"

What are you doing? You don't even know them, take it back!

Amanda is upstairs, you'll be fine.

I stood my ground, this new voice sounded pretty legit. Lord I hope I'm not going crazy.

Stefan smiled, "Are you sure? We wouldn't want to impose."

"No I insist, it is the least I could do for what you've done for me tonight."

"That sounds really nice."

We both smiled and I told him to go explain the plan to Owen while I opened the second garage door. Before you ask, yes I have two, everyone does.

We we're now walking into the front lobby of the apartments and I was greeted by the doorman Rex. He noticed me and gave me a nice greeting, "Goodnight Mr.Jennings, have a nice night with Mr.Reed?"

I laughed nervously, "Oh Rexxie, you don't know the half of it. And I told you to call me Matt, or at least Matthew."

He chuckled before replying, "My apologies, I'll be sure to remember next time. May I ask who these two gentlemen are?"

"Oh gosh, sorry um guys this is Rex, Rex this is Owen" I pointed toward Owen then Stefan, "and this is Stefan. They're some new friends of mine; has Amanda arrived yet? I'm expecting her."

"Yes sir-Matthew, she arrived not too long before Mr.Reed."

What? What the hell is he doing here? I didn't expect to see him. Not like this.

I nodded my head and pulled on a smile, "Perfect. Well, we should be heading up now, have a good night Rex."

"And you Mr.Matthew." He said with a nod

All three of us stepped into the elevator and I pressed the button to the fifth floor. It was silent until Owen asked me a question I was praying neither would ask.

They are going to find out anyways when they go inside the apartment.

"Who is Mr.Reed?" Owen asked innocently
