𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟖, 𝟎𝟖:𝟎𝟒 𝐄𝐃𝐓
𝐓𝐎 𝐊𝐄𝐄𝐏 it simple, the League had asked the Guardians to become part-time members of the Justice League. Most of them, anyway. The League had offered Aurora to join a covert team under the League's direction due to her being underage.
And now she was here. Waiting with her dad as Batman introduced her to the team. With Lake Shore Drive running through her headphones from her walkman until her dad tapped her shoulder.
She put her headphones around her neck and turned to him. "Here," he said. He handed her a blue bag with a badge that said NASA and some ghost... thingies. He once told her they were from an Earth game called Pac-Man.
"You're giving me your bag?"
"Yeah. My stuff's still in there. But I want you to have something to carry all your cool new Earth stuff," Peter told her. He knelt on one knee and put a hand on her shoulder. "I'll miss you a lot. But you can visit us whenever you want. Just ask and we'll take a joyride on the Milano through a quantum asteroid field."
"I don't know about quantum asteroid fields but sure. I'll miss you too Dad," the blonde replied as she hugged her father. "I love you."
"I love you too, kiddo."
"Batman needs a team that can operate on the sly." Aurora could hear Aquaman's voice as she let her father go.
"The six of you will be that team," Batman said.
"Cool! Wait. Six?" A young, black-haired boy questioned. Batman nodded to a young Martian girl and Aurora as they walked in with Manhunter and Peter.
"This is the Martian Manhunter's niece, Miss Martian. And this is Star-Lord's daughter, Aurora," Batman introduced.
"Hi," the Martian girl waved. Aurora looked up to her father, who had his mask on. Aurora guessed it was just to make him look cool but even she could tell he wanted her to get along with these guys.
"Hey," she said.
"Liking this gig more every minute," a redhead said as he eyed Miss Martian. "Uh, welcome aboard. I'm Kid Flash. That's Robin, Aqualad. It's cool if you forget their names."
"I'm honored to be included," Miss Martian replied, though she looked slightly nervous. The three walked over to greet the two, but Robin looked over to Aurora and Peter with a look of recognition.
"Hey, didn't you guys save that planet? Xandar?" he questioned.
"Yeah, what's it to you?" Peter questioned. Aurora elbowed her dad in the gut.
"What my dad means to say is, yes. But, we didn't do it alone," she corrected as she turned off her father's helmet.
"Yeah, the Guardians of the Galaxy right? Sick name, by the way," Robin complimented.
