Alana's POV

8:30a.m.

It was a really rainy morning and I had been super tired from last night, I woke up to the sound of my ear-piercing alarm clock. I got dressed in some faded jeans and a white tank top. I rushed downstairs to eat breakfast before going to school. Just as I was about to open the door to leave I heard my mom say something to me. "You know Alana you ended classes yesterday, right?" "Ummm... of course I knew. Pfft, I totally wasn't going to school. Haha good one ma," I said looking like a tomato after totally pretending I knew school ended. "So where were you going then?" my mom asked. "Umm I was going to uhh... I'm going to... Yeah I give," I said laughing with my mom.

"Come over here miss," said my mom, "I got something for ya." I walked over to her and sat on the couch with her. She handed me a shut orange envelope I paused and examined it hesitantly. "Well, what are you waiting for? Just open it already," my mom said with a ear to ear grin. I shrugged and tore the flap that sealed the envelope closed. I took out the papers inside... It was a plane ticket to Los Angeles, California, and a car service voucher to I couldn't believe it, CASEY'S HOUSE. I felt a tear run down my face. I smiled so big and squealed with joy, I squeezed my mom because of all my excitement. "OMG MOM! THIS IS NOT A JOKE, RIGHT?!" I said. "No, it's not at all. You leave in 2 days so I suggest you start packing today, sooner than later," she said. "OMG! I'm so happy right now! When did you plan this?! How long am I staying?!" "Casey's mom and I have been planning it for a while now. You're staying for a month and a half with her, so just about three quarters of the break," she said. "I don't know how to thank you much more! I LOVE YOU LOTS OMG," I said overly excited. I ran upstairs and went to sleep for a little longer.

4:15p.m.

I woke up again and hadn't realized I really slept this much longer. I rolled on to my side and grabbed my phone from my night stand. I looked at my notifications on my lock screen:

Instagram: You have 8 new notifications

Twitter: Check out a photo that is now trending.

Snapchat: from Dumb Bucket

iMessage: Casey: OMG I HEARD UR MOM TOLD YOU

I unlocked my phone and texted Casey back.

5:30p.m.

"YOOO! ALANA COME GET DINNER ITS ON THE TABLE DOWN HERE," my brother John shouted to me. I opened up my door and went downstairs to eat. I saw my mom cooked chicken, broccoli, and pasta, thank the lord my mom was amazing at cooking. I always loved my mom's gourmet dinners at home, I'll be missing that for a while. I took my bowl and a fork and went back upstairs to my room and turned on the news. I watched the weather report for the week while I ate, thank the lord for clear traveling weather. I hated flying in the rain, it scares the bubbles out of me.

I finished eating then continued to pack up the rest of my clothes. My suitcase looked and felt really, really fat, but whatever I am going for over a month. I had decided to do nothing the rest of the night, but watch band interviews on Youtube because I had been super bored. It was about 12:00a.m. when I dozed off.

2:47p.m.

Once again, I had slept super late, but I had nothing else to do, so why not just sleep. I decided since it had been my last day in New York for a short while, I'd take my bike out to ride around the little urbanized, yet suburban town. I enjoyed the crisp late spring air as I rode my bike around just cruising.

5:28p.m.

I had not realized i had been out for so long riding, I was starting to lose track of time. My brain's hours went whack. I ate dinner at home, tonight pork and fennel sausage and corn on the cob. I sat with my family, but we were all silent because we were enjoying our dinner too much.

6:59p.m.

I had gone upstairs like normal, and just channel surfed for the rest of the night.
