"Yo, what took so long?" Casey asked. "Jesse Rutherford," I said. "Girl, you gotta stop meeting him places," Vicki said. "Well, I tried to avoid him and pretend like I didn't know him. But that didn't work because he remembers me and my name even though I told him my name was Renata," I said. "Dude you're so dumb. I would be all over him if he came up to me and remembered me," Mariana said. "Well I'm not good with guys, and he's Jesse. He's in a band and I'm his fan. Don't you guys realize that?"

3:03p.m.

It was 3 1/2 hours until doors and there were a few people behind us in line now. I was totally excited for the show, but not about Jesse. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I thought to myself. I was so bored from waiting that I put my legs on the wall and sat upside down. "AGGGGGHHHHHHH," I said aloud while stretching my arms and yawning. "Do you know how unattractive that is?" Vicki asked me. "Do you think I care and it's not like I'm trying to impress anyone," I said. "Um hun, Jesse is right in front smoking with is Zach and Mikey," Casey said. "So, it doesn't mean anything to me," I said while sticking my tongue out at my friends. "Dude, I think Jesse is actually looking at u. You should stop acting like you're 5 and act 18," Casey said. "I do me, you guys do you. I don't care how stupid I look and I could care less about Jesse because all I am is a fan. A fan, f-a-n. Nothing more, I don't care about others and their thoughts towards me. I'm going to sleep like this. Wake me up at 6:15," I said.

6:16p.m.

"Alana get your ass up or else I'm gonna have Anthony hang you upside down," Mariana said. I peeked open my eyes not remembering where I was, "leave me alone, I need beauty sleep." "Ok you asked for it," Vicki said. Before I knew it I felt Anthony pull me off the ground and upside down. "AHHHHHHHHH PUT ME DOWN AND RIGHT SIDE UP!" I screamed at him. They were all laughing, too bad it was contagious like a cold therefore I started to laugh too.

Before we knew it a security man of the venue came out and opened the venue. They scanned our tickets and stamped our hands indicating we were allowed in. "I'm going to need your ID's to make sure you're all able to drink," a lady said that was handing out wrist bands. Casey took out an ID that read 21 and so did Mariana, Vicki, and Anthony. "Oh Casey, I forgot my ID, oh well, I guess I can't drink." Right before my eyes Casey handed a 50 dollar bill to the security lady. "I'll let it slide," the lady said then handed me a wrist band.

"Casey you know I don't drink!" I said to her. "Ok well do you want access to the after party after the show or not? Because we are all going and now you are too," Casey said. I roll my eyes then we were right up against the stage because there hadn't been a barrier. I really wasn't ready for this, but it was here and I had to deal with it.

There was some good music playing before the show so we started to dance and have a little fun. "I'm gonna get us all beers," Vicki said. "Ok!" Mariana and Casey said. Vicki came back with 4 bottles of beer and just as she came back the lights started to dim and the music shut off. 5 dark figures walked on the stage. Dim lighting came on and the crowd went crazy. They started with Afraid and their performance took me to another universe.

'Paid that money, fake that dummy, ache my tummy
On the fence, all the time
Paid junk honey, face so sunny, ain't that funny
All my friends always lie to me
I know they're thinking' Jesse sang as the crowd sang with him.

He turned the mic around and had the audience sing the chorus.
'You're too mean, I don't like you, fuck you anyway
You make me wanna scream at the top of my lungs
It hurts but I won't fight you
You suck anyway
You make me wanna die, right when I'

Then he started to sing again.

Throughout the song I sang along and danced with my friends. We were half way through the set when Flawless started to play. During the chorus I caught Jesse looking down at me then he knelt down and sang to me. I was sorta shocked but I acted like a normal fan would and let out a silent scream. Reached out for him as he got up.

The last song they played that night was Sweater Weather. It was weird because I kept catching Jesse looking at me, and I wasn't all that happy about it because from the looks of other fan girls, it seemed that they were jealous and wanted to hurt me. When Jesse sang:

I caught him looking at me yet again. Wow these other 3 shows I'm going to are going to be a whole lot of fun. Thankfully Jesse stopped singing and the show was over. "Thank you everyone for coming! We are The Neighbourhood and we hope ya'll had a great time here tonight. Catch y'all at the after party tonight if your 21+! Goodnight!" Jesse said.

"Do we really need to stay for the after party?" I asked my friends. "Yes, you do because we are too and it'll be hella fun," Casey said. "Ugh fine." The Neighbourhood's roadies went up on stage and cleaned everything off. They finished after 20 minutes, then a dj came up on stage and played some club music. Bartenders were walking around with trays of shots for a dollar and I did not feel comfortable at all.

"Here take this Alana loosen up," Vicki said as she handed me a shot. I chugged it down and it burned my throat. "Ah ha! So it is you Alana, I knew it," a male voice said from behind me. I tried to ignore it and just danced until I felt someone grabbing me and pulling me around to face them. Jesse, oh poop.

"You know you don't lie good, right? I mean I obviously saw you hesitating to say your name earlier so I knew it was you. So anyway nice surprise seeing you here." "Yeah, sure I mean I guess it's cool to see you here too. But you're the one that was performing so I mean you had no choice in coming here." I turned my head to look at my friends and tried to signal them to get over here. Luckily Casey saw and came over to me with the others. "Ooh girl what are you doing talking to Jesse Rutherford," she said making a raised eyebrow face. "Actually he was the one talking to me," I said. "So Alana, you gonna introduce me to your friends or?" Jesse said. "Um Jesse this is Casey, Vicki, Mariana, and Anthony," I said while pointing to each of them. Casey hugged Jesse and he laughed a bit, after Casey, Mariana and Vicki did too. Anthony just gave Jesse a bro hug because they are guys. "Can I get a picture with you?!" Casey, Mariana, and Vicki said at the same time. "Haha sure," Jesse said. "OOH and can you also sign our tickets for us?" Casey said. "Yes I will," Jesse said smiling. I went along with my friends and took pictures with Jesse. After that he signed our tickets and he signed mine last and my friends went back to party. "Hey can I borrow your phone for a minute?" He asked. "Umm sure," I said typing in my passcode and handing it to him. He typed something into it, locked it the handed it back to me. "Well it was nice seeing ya, hope to see you again," he said. "Yeah sure." He hugged me then walked away and partied with what appeared to be the rest of The Neighbourhood.
