I walked forward listlessly.

It was fun on the first day, but spending a week without the great internet is making me think I'm going to get crazy soon.

There are times when I don't have access to the internet since I'm doing a mission, but it is tolerable because I have something to do.

But here I am, doing nothing, and without the internet.

"Aggghhhhh." I punched the tree in front of me in anger.

My mood has been volatile because my heat is nearing. I can feel my mood changing in minutes.

I have injected 3 inhibitors so far and I don't feel my heat going away.

The only good thing I could think so far is that I'm in a very remote forest, with no men around.

Even if I got into heat in this place, I don't think some man would find me here.

Unless I'm mistaken and there is a settlement near here.

Hmmm. It was better for me to spend my heat in a safe place than to go around and get caught.

I have to set up a small safety perimeter somewhere.

"Is there a cave nearby?" I slowly trudge inside the forest

I activated my ring's scanning function. Spending my mental energy, I finally found a suitable cave.

My steps quickened as I slowly made my way to the cave.

The cave has a natural cover hiding it. That's nice.

I excitedly opened it and decided that for now until my heat ends, this place would be my nest!

I enveloped the place with my scent, declaring my sovereignty and pull out a broom from my ring.

Since this is going to be my nest for a while, I had to clean it.

The cave was relatively clean, with no animal droppings. The only thing that's bothering me is that there is this unknown scent of burning that I'm smelling.

There was no mark of fire or any burning on the cave floor, but the burned scent is still lingering.

In annoyance, I strengthened my scent, almost overflowing.

When in heat, women tend to be territorial over their nest. There must be no other scents around them or they'll be alert to no end.

The only exception that could ease a woman's in heat territoriality would be their partner.

But since I have no partner from the very start, my territorial instinct is very much domineering.

Even now, when I'm not in heat yet, my protectiveness of this temporary nest was almost suffocating (or how those idiots would tell me).

Finally. I don't smell anything unpleasant.

I nodded to myself as I placed a lot of things on the ground.

My nest should be cozy and comfortable.

I started placing things into where they should be.

My bed needs to be in the center with my favorite thick blanket. There should be a cabinet of sweets near the bed so that I could eat when I felt like it. A cooling fan powered by an energy crystal.

There should also be comfortable clothes nearby. Refreshing cold stack of water bottles at the end of my bed.

I slowly backed away and looked at my arrangement, and nodded in satisfaction.

My nest is ready!

I just need to spend my heat here in peace.

I walked out of the cave and installed an alarm.

Seeing the setting sun, I walked inside the cave again, ready to drink a supplement potion to ease my hunger.
