CECILIA WOKE UP WITH A HEADACHE the next day, not to mention she had to sleep on a sleeping bag on the floor because her bed wasn't put together yet. The movers arrived late last night and they were now getting adjusted and finally unpacking. Today was Cecilia's first day at her new school. She probably should be nervous but in all honesty, she wasn't. She'd already made a friend and figured it'd be easy to fit in.

"Shit."

Cecilia groaned as she got up, holding her head. She sighed and looked around for a moment before getting up and going over to one of the boxes filled with her many clothes. She dug out a white sweater and a denim skirt. She had remembered her jewelry was also packed away and scavenged for her favorite necklace that had her name on it and some earrings that matched.

"Ceec cmon' you don't wanna be late on your first day. You're notorious for being late already let's not start that reputation at your new school." Cecilia's mother spoke.

Cecilia frowned. The only reason she was ever late at her old school was because she had to walk.

Okay that's a lie, it's because she spent too much time getting ready. Just like she was doing today. However, she didn't care. She looked nice. Her Mom rushed her out the door, she heard the commotion of their neighbors and it was unreal how hectic that house was. Cecilia could hear them screaming and shouting all morning.

The car ride was silent, Cecilia's Mom was still stressed from the move and Cecilia although she wouldn't admit it was actually a little nervous. She couldn't help the mean thoughts that crept into her mind.

"Have a good day, Ceec." Her Mom smiled as she got out of the car. Cecelia smiled back at her as she walked inside, she hoped to see Lydia. Cecilia hadn't gotten her schedule yet, so she went to the front office and retrieved it.

"Hi! I'm-" She was cut off abruptly by a small blonde boy. "The new student!" Cecilia stared, stunned a little bit.

"Yeah..."

Cecilia said, looking around to see if she was being recorded. This felt like a commercial.

"How did you know that...?" She questioned, fixing her backpack awkwardly.

"Welcome to Royal Woods Middle School!" The boy said, smiling brightly. Another boy stood next to him, about the same height and had glasses. He just stared at Cecilia like he was ready to drool. The blonde boy looked over at him and elbowed him in the side, it got the boys attention right away.
