Lucie:

Since coming back from Millis to see my grandmother, Ars became insistent on training with me.

Was it because of the incident with Sieg?

Today, I woke up to Ars shaking my body, "Lucie... Lucie... Wake up please!"

Ugh.

"What?"

I was off from school today, but that didn't mean I was free to be woken up.

"Can we fight?"

Huh?

"Why?"

"Cos I wanna train!"

Such a pain. Why me? I'm only better than him because I'm older. Can't he wait?

"Okay..."

Struggling, I got out of bed. From the sky, it looked to be around 7 or 8 in the morning - way too early for something like this.

After about twenty minutes, Ars and I got outside. The sun was out which was nice, but I really didn't want to be doing something like this.

"Let's start!"

He quickly jumped towards me, striking his wooden sword down hard. I moved out of the way with wind magic, repositioning myself.

Just as I did that, Ars fired a stone bullet towards my direction. I swung my own sword, shattering the bullet into dust and leaving time for Ars to rush in.

As expected.

Once I saw him in the cloud of dust, I swung my sword with my left hand, parrying, while my right hand forced a gust of wind, blowing Ars' sword into the air.

Looking confused, Ars frantically tried to escape, but it was too late.

"And-"

I held my sword in both hands and swung down.

"-Done"

"Ah! I still can't beat you! Lucie, you're too strong!"

"It's really not that. I'm the oldest of us all, so I have the most experience, that's all."

From behind me, I heard someone coming close. Was it Red Mama? Normally she would be up at this time, and considering we were doing a mock battle, she might've been watching.

"Good job, Lucie."

I felt my hair being rustled. I sort of wanted it to stop.

"Dad!"

Ars came running up to our father, who stood behind me.

"I heard some noise, so I went to check. Nice work Lucie. I guess those training sessions with Eris are starting to play off... Though your magic was also really good."

Ars was staring at me with... envy? I think. For what? Did he want to be praised too?

"Ars, good job too. I can see you getting better each day. Just be careful about being too aggressive, otherwise, what happened then might happen again."

He rustled Ars' hair too.

"Got it..."

"Okay, come inside. Breakfast's almost ready."

"Kay"

I picked up both our swords, taking them inside while Ars followed behind.

White Mama came out with breakfast while Aisha placed down the plates at the table. Today we had some soup and bread. Just like normal.
