Now that Lara had also gone, there were only six of us left: me, my wives, Lilia, and Zenith. We were going to go to Asura soon for Christina's wedding, but we still had two or so months till then.
Taking opportunity of this, and seeing as our house was now empty and I had much more time on my hands, I decided to take each of my wives out on separate days.
My plan for the three of them was to take them out to a separate inn on each of their days, spending the entire two days with a schedule tailored exclusively for them.
Today would be Sylphie.
We started the day by heading out to an inn relatively far from our house, though still in Sharia, leaving all our stuff there before going out once more.
"Shall we get going?" I spoke while lending out my hand to Sylphie. She accepted, and we walked the streets hand in hand.
It'd been a while since I was alone with her, but it brought back so many memories.
My first time meeting her in Buena. Our reunion with her disguised as Fitz, eventually led to her solving my ED. She was truly the perfect wife. Honestly, I'm amazed she chose me as a husband, but she looked happy, so I guess I can't complain.
I was the one to take in two other wives after all. I should be grateful to her... To all three of them.
Sylphie had planned these two days herself. The first place we'd be going to was a nearby river. We weren't going to fish here, but rather, it was simply for a walk. She'd brought a lunch box for the both of us already, filled to the brim with her own homemade cooking.
Supposedly, this was meant to be me treating my wives, but right now, she was treating me far more. I had to up my game.
"Rudy? Do you like the food?"
I responded by kissing her forehead, "Yeah. It's perfect, just like you."
She blushed, trying to hide her face. It was adorable, obviously. Thank you, God, for this sight!
Joking aside, the food was actually insanely good. There wasn't a particularly wide selection, but she prepared a variety of sandwiches along with some cookies.
What made them so good was the fact that the sandwiches had been made with homemade bread and were filled with a rich mayonnaise-like sauce, slices of chicken, and our homegrown vegetables.
Once we were done eating, we continued our walk.
"Rudy? Thanks for this."
"Hm? What do you mean?"
"I just... Thanks for loving me so much. You know, over the years, after raising all six of our children together, I've realised just how lucky I am to have you. Even though you have Eris and Roxy, I've never felt like your love for me has ever dipped. In the past, I never imagined that our lives would end up like this, yet you made it all possible, so thank you. Rudy, I love you."
Maybe it's possible to fall in love for a second time with the same person.
She... I honestly don't deserve that.
I was the one who took in two other wives while with her, yet she accepted everything. Sylphie was the one who accepted all of me. While my other wives gave me so much, it was all because Sylphie was there.
She truly was the Goddess of Love.
I went in for a hug, but she went in for a kiss. As though my instinct, I tried to reach down to grope her butt, but when I saw her face, I stopped.
Sylphie really loved me with all the world.
"I love you too."
We continued walking on for a bit longer before heading back into the main town.
