Well here we are again, against the wall next to the exit of the dining hall. In a large area with multiple tables and snobby richmen clamoring with loud laughter. My ears are starting to ring, this headpiece isn't even working anymore...
It was another manager party, all the VIP guests are invited which is the entire hotel. I glance around trying to find an escape for just a moment of peace in my mind, right at the moment I was ready to leave I felt a hand grasp around my wrist, a dainty yet wrinkly hand with long piercing red nails, It was an elder woman with an outfit clearly not designed for her age.. She looked at me with a broken grin and demands,
'' Darling! Would you be a dear and grab me and the girls a few bottle of whiskeys? Thank you lots~'' as she immediately lets go and continues her conversation as if nothing happened.
I pull up my nose in frustration and continued my walk,
I mumble words under my breath. Walking out of the dining room eases my ears immediately, the loud clamoring of millions of men fade away, I can finally hear myself think. I roam around the halls just gliding my view along the expensive marble pillars, golden lining accros the walls, glass structures in weird and abstract forming. Is this what rich people are into? what a waste of money...
𝐀 𝐟𝐞𝐰 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬.
Finally, it's quiet. The dining room is empty and cleaned up by the janitors, the kitchen isn't filled with shouts anymore, the guards are outside the doors and everything is dark now.
I chose to work the night shift because of the quiet night. My ears still ring from the shouts and laughter... I walk past the hall of rooms, downstairs past the boiler, and another pair of stairs down to the safe, the Sliver safe. I go to the security room down the hall and enter the room.
The multiple computers sizzle with static, they're so loud... I tap the monitor and they turn off immediately, well that was weird. I take out my phone and just lounge around in my chair, placing my feet on the desk, I scroll through my unread texts, e-mails and everything out of boredom. Suddenly. I heard wooden planks and iron poles clatter around. Noone is around here so late, who is it? Either way I need to check it, sadly that's my duty.
I grab my flashlight and check the battery, it's a fresh one so that'll have to last me a while. Creaking open the door and peaking my head out just for caution, I see noone. I walk to the right following where I heard the noise from and I hear collective clattering of more objects... what is this? As I get closer to the end of the hall my vision gets a little blurry, I shut my eyes and shake my head, I open them up for a clearer vision... Was- that door there before? It's a marble door but it has thin black vines sorrounding it. I... guess the sound came from there? I creak open the door carefully and step inside, It's an empty concrete room, a large room. I don't see anything that fell down... Just as I took my last step forward-
I fell down,
I fell down through a pit, screaming out whilst falling down the pit, It's so dark... Are my eyes shut? I'm scared,
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠?!
