Robin woke up early at 5 AM, greeting his mother and father as they prepared to leave for their respective jobs. He wished them a good morning and proceeded with his usual morning routine, though inside, he was brimming with anticipation for the day ahead. Once everyone had left except him, he sighed with relief. His father had failed to notice the missing revolver, which was still safely hidden in the car's glove box.
He hurriedly got everything together: his attire from before, the chemicals now in larger quantities, more ropes and tapes, and the whole toolbox. He loaded all these items into the car's trunk, checked the revolver and its ammo in the glove box, and ensured everything was ready. He was all set to go.
He pulled out from the garage and started driving towards his farmhouse, passing through various neighborhoods and then onto the highway. He drove by fields of corn, wheat, and vegetables, his windows rolled down. He didn't play any music, driving with great focus, occasionally thinking about how to progress with his plans
He pulled into the barn of his farmhouse and parked his car. Stepping out, he made his way inside, heading straight to the room where Sara Lee was held captive. The door creaked open, startling Sara awake. She struggled in the chair, trying to free herself and scream, but her hands were tightly bound, and her mouth was sealed with tape.
Robin, masked to conceal his identity, approached her. He ripped the tape from her mouth, allowing her to speak.
"What do you want from me? Who are you? Someone, please help!" she cried out.
Robin slapped her hard. "Stop screaming, bitch. No one is coming for you. No one will hear your cries for help."
Sara was too stunned to speak, her breath catching in her throat. Robin leaned in closer, his voice cold and menacing.
"Sara Lee, you've been a thorn in my side for a long time now. I've always thought about repaying the debt you left me. Honestly, I let it slide every time. But as fate would have it, you will face my judgment. A taste of your own medicine, perhaps?"
Sara's fear was palpable. She felt utterly helpless, her eyes welling up with tears. She let out a small, desperate whisper, "Please, let me go. I promise I'll be good. I swear."
Sara didn't recognize that it was Robin; she had never really heard his voice. He had endured her atrocities for the longest time, but now, he was determined to make her experience the same hell she had inflicted on others.
Robin punched her face until her nose started bleeding, and multiple cuts appeared on her skin. He then brought a mirror and forced her to look at her battered reflection.
"Take a look at your face, all battered up. Does it ring a bell?"
Sara gasped for air, tears streaming down her cheeks as she saw her disfigured face. In a broken voice, she managed to speak, "Vengeance? Is that what you desire?"
"Vengeance?" he laughed, a chilling sound in the dim room. "No, not the slightest bit. I just needed a reason to have a field day. In short, I'm doing this for fun, and so far, I've enjoyed every moment."
His expression changed back to a serious one, his eyes cold and unfeeling.
Sara was losing consciousness, and Robin couldn't allow that. He went to the kitchen, grabbed a bucket, and filled it with water, dumping in half a pound of salt. Returning to the room where Sara was held, he took a mug and splashed the salt water in her face. She screamed in agony, jerking awake again.
"Don't get so comfortable yet," he growled.
Sara looked at Robin with a defiant glare, the only thing he hated most.
