There, it's been said and done. Gabe is a terrible nickname for a girl. It doesn't matter if she's called Gabriella, it's still a shitty nickname. And yet Gabriella was still called that. Why? Who knows.

Gabriella Ellias had always been pretty socially awkward. Apart from people she knew from the "mom gang," her only good friend was Maya. Maya Razak, who was dating Gregory, who was the best friend of Mullin, the goofiest guy in this batch.

Maya usually talked for her. Maya is Gabriella's voice. She wants to buy something? Oh, Maya will do the bargaining. She wants to order food at a cafe? Maya will do the talking. She wants to introduce herself to somebody? Maya will introduce them both for her. You get the idea.

Gabriella wasn't that popular. But she was pretty.

Gabriella's mom is Bianca Ellias. Bianca is a single mother of 3, Gabriella, Evan Joshua and Johann (oldest to youngest). Gabriella's dad, Johnathan died of a heart attack when she was 13, Evan 4 and Johann not even born yet.

Bianca thinks David is quite a sweet child. She thinks he can do no wrong. But that assumption itself is very wrong.

Just ask Preethi Sreenivasan, neighbour to the Millers. She's a nurse and usually has a night shift, and while she leaves her house, David would blast popular pop culture music from his open window. And Mullin from across the street would play a different song. Allegedly, they communicate based on song names, for example, Mullin would play Love hurts by the Everly Brothers (woah that's an old song), after he was rejected by the 15th girl that same week and David would reply by blasting Tay Tay's Shake it Off out his window. That night, neither Preethi nor her daughter, Aadya, got any sleep.

You can imagine what happened the next morning.
