kate normally doesn't pay attention in school whatsoever her mind is always focused on sports but something else has taken over it..

As team captain kate had to do try outs, she saw alot of new faces but one smile spefically caught her eye, she smiled back to be nice. "Well let's start out with some drills" she yells out, everyone's attention going towards her. After tryouts she decided to add three new members into her team. Orla, greta and als. she noticed that warm smile again from the first girl. kate never really thought about her sexuality but that smile just made her heart melt. "Hey welcome to the team! you should head inside the changing rooms all your uniform is there" just as the girls were about to leave kate quickly yells out "Orla! wait here a sec!" Confused the brunette walks up to her "you wanted me? uh kate right?" kate smiles and nods her head "i just wanted to congratulate you, you showed some amazing skill out there. have you played before?" orla thinks for a minute before responding "well..not actually im more of a horse girl but still. i normally just play with my brother." A week later kate and orla had exchanged numbers, they occasionally texted but not all the time. Instead of texting the girl she was "just friends" with she spent her time talking about her to rory and xav who honestly couldn't care less but they're friends so they're forced to listen.
