One a day not to different to the one you're reading this, The Morning Star was flying over the mortal planes of the Earth that his kin guarded in their Parent's name.

(They couldn't and were never allowed to call him God. For it suggested a controlled nature.)

At the very moment he returned to Heaven. His brother Peter (For in Heaven all those who reached The Gate always were) asked him if he could check on the humans.

Adam and Eve.

There were only two of them, and they were so dim-witted that they hadn't even understood that they were naked and how to reproduce. To the angels they were equivalent to the other animals, pigs and rats.

So Lucifer was a bit annoyed at this. But nevertheless he went and did what was asked of him.

And what he got in return was not what he expected.

Just as he'd known Adam was dumb and unkempt. However he'd seen Eve make attempts to look nice, to try new things. She showed promise. So he taught her everything she could possible comprehend.

Somethings they put into practice. Others were trusted on word.

Adam got jealous however, and spoke to God. In doing so Lucifer got banned from the Paradise that is the Garden of Eden.

From Eve.

Now this upset the Morning Star. For he'd started to grow affectionate for the girl. His Parent found out and decided to inform Lucifer of a new rule.

The Mortal Law:

Something Holy and born in the Ether Realms could not interact sensual matter, for they'd be cast away.

Now Lucifer didn't care for there was still one thing he needed to teach Eve.

Later in that evening in the form of a snake he slithered down to the Garden, to where Eve was sitting beneath a tree. Adam was far.

There he taught her love. But God knew. And on his return Peter gave him an ultimatum: Stay in Heaven forever or the Lesser Planes.

He chose Eve.
