Prologue

~15 years ago~

"Mommy! Niko hid my teddy bear" 5 year old Camilla cries "Thats only because you don't want to play with Sofi and I" Niko says while sitting on the carpet next to his twin sister.

Ava and Bridget try to hide their laughs when the front door opens and seconds later the house is full with noise and chaos as the Chen's and Harper's arrive

"DAHILA" Sofia screams and runs towards the 4 year old, hugging her a little too tight "Hey Niko" Jeremy greets his cousin while Jace hides behind his mother's leg. "Hello Jace" Camilla says loud enough for him to hear "hi Cami" the shy boy says quietly "Come sit with us" she says gently grabbing his hand and taking him to sit next to her and Niko.

"Awww aren't they just the cutest" Stella says while Ava pours her a glass of wine
"Cute but little monsters" Jules adds to her comment.
"So do you think they killed each other by now?" Ava asks referring to Alex, Josh, Rhys and Christian, who went on a 'Bonding trip' set up but the girls while they have a play date for the kids

"Well Rhys did say that Josh tried to get Christian to try swing-roping into the lake which resulted into him getting pushed into the lake fully clothed and Alex had to get fire started so he didn't die from hyperthermia so it sounds like they're actually getting along" Bridget tells the girls as they all burst out into laughter.

~12 years ago~

"Hey guys, what you talking about?" Niko asks Jeremy and Jace who was sitting on the swings in the playground during recess "Nothing much, I was just telling Jace how I beat you in that race the other day" Niko rolls his eyes before saying "You're still going on about that, It was one race" Jeremy scoffs "that I beat you in", "Oh get over yourself Jeremy" a voice says from behind the boy.

As he turns around Jeremy sees Dahila Harper the girl who never seems to hold a single conversation without insulting him in some way or another.
"What do you want Dahila?" Jeremy asks the girl before him, "None of your business but if you must know I'm here to call Niko" she turns to Niko before continuing "Cami got into trouble and she asked for you to get her bag since y'all are in the same class."
"Camilla Von Ascheberg got into trouble, gosh I never thought I'd see the day" Jace says, startling Dahila who hadn't seen him sitting on the swing since he'd been so quiet.
"Jesus,Jace you almost gave me a heart attack" Dahlia says putting her hand over her chest while Jeremy laughs horrendously.

"Where is she?" Niko asks "Who?" Dahila asks confused "Camilla, you said she was in trouble, where is she so I can go drop off her bag" Niko asks "oh yeah, she's at the office" she says "okay, I'll catch up with you guys later" Niko says goodbye as he leaves to get Camilla's bag from the class.

~10 years ago~

"Niko! You gotta come see this" Camilla says looking into the telescope.
Tonight was the night of the Lunar eclipse and all the families got together and decided to camp out on a secured mountain top to get the best view of the eclipse. "what is it?" he asks walking towards her "The eclipse, it's so beautiful" she says looking into the telescope for a second longer before moving aside for him to see. "It is very beautiful, just like you..." he says looking away from the telescope "...Luna" he says taking her hand into his while smiling at his best friend, although Camilla felt something a little more than friendship towards him in that moment, she had developed a crush on one of her closest friends.

~2 weeks later~

"I would like to make a toast" Bridget says standing up from her seat "Thank you all for coming today, as you may know, Rhys, Camilla and I will be leaving for Eldorra in two days and as much as we want to say here, Camilla has reached the age where she has to go to The Royal Academy according to the law and it's base is in Eldorra but we will be visiting often so don't worry about that" Bridget says chuckling at her last few words before sitting back down.

Laughter and noise fills the room after a few seconds after. "We're going to miss you Cami" Sofia says as the rest of them nod in response "Yeah I'm gonna miss you guys too" she says looking at each and everyone of her friends before her eyes set on the sad boy sitting next to her for a heartbeat longer before she asks if he's okay, he hums in response. They both remain silent for the rest of the dinner.

"Thanks for coming" Bridget says to Jules, Stella and Ava as the kids say goodbye to Camilla "Thank you for having us" Ava says in response as the rest nod in response as their gaze shift to the men standing outside making conversation

"Luna" Niko calls after Camilla who was heading up to her room, she quickly turns around meeting the boy halfway up the stairs "Hey, you good" he asks concern filling his voice "Yeah, I'm fine" she says wrapping her hands around the small of her waist "You didn't seem fine at dinner" he says "Well... Uhm if you didn't notice, I'm being forced away from everything and everyone I know, so excuse me if I'm not smiling" she lashes out at him "Jeez, sorry, I just wanted to check if you were okay" he says still a little stunned by her sudden burst of anger.

Guilt consumes Camilla "I'm sorry, I-I... I didn't mean to yell at you" she says looking down "It's fine, I know you didn't mean it" he says taking her hand in his before rubbing small circles on the front on her hand, she looks up at him and smiles at him before locking eyes with him. "I...eh...I got you something" he suddenly remembers taking out a small squared box from his pocket and opening it. "you got me a ring" she asks confused "Not just any ring it's a promise ring and..." he trails off taking out another box with the same ring in it before continuing "...I got a matching one." he puts his ring on before taking out her ring and putting it on her middle finger "this ring signifies our friendship because no matter how far away we are from each other, we'll have this to remind us of each other." he says smiling at her before she hugs him tightly, not wanting to let go.

Hello my loves so I hope you enjoyed this, it was just a little insight of them before she had to move away and from the next chapter it will officially be 10 years later...
