Hello everyone here's the next chapter
I hope you enjoy this chapter ✨✨The opulent haveli buzzed with nervous activity. Silk saris swished and jewels clinked as Amara's handmaidens bustled around her, their worried glances a stark contrast to the celebratory music filtering through the palace walls. Amara, however, remained a statue of calm, her gaze fixed on the intricately patterned henna adorning her hands.
Suddenly, a commotion erupted outside the chamber doors. Rani Padmavati rushed in, her eyes wide. "They say the Maharaja has arrived early," she announced, a tremor in her voice.
Amara rose, a flicker of defiance in her eyes. "Early or not," she said, her voice steady, "the Rani of Jaisalmer will greet him on her own terms."
The grand hall shimmered with gold and marble. Amara entered, her silk dupatta billowing behind her. All eyes turned towards her, the murmurs of courtiers dying down in an instant. There, seated on a richly decorated throne, was Vikramaditya Singh.
He was a man of imposing stature, his face an unreadable mask. Amara offered a curt nod, her heart pounding a fierce rhythm against her ribs. This was the man who held her kingdom hostage, the man she was bound to marry in a mockery of a ceremony.
As the formalities began, Amara stole glances at Vikramaditya. He remained impassive, his gaze never meeting hers. But a hint of something – perhaps curiosity, or maybe even a flicker of something else – seemed to flicker in his dark eyes.
The chapter ends with Amara, ever the strategist, making a subtle observation about Vikramaditya that leaves the reader wondering – is there more to this ruthless Maharaja than meets the eye
Thankyou so much
