*BEEP BEEP*
I jumped up on the creaky bed and shot a look at the alarm clock before slapping one of the buttons a little harder than necessary, Dad thought I had problems waking up early on my own. I yawned, rubbing my eyes tiredly, and took in the mess I'd left last night in an attempt to pack my things before I left the old man's place, although failing miserably.
A little background, after messing around at campus with Bobby and PJ, I thought maybe I should spend Christmas with Dad, and Sylvia now (That was after PJ and Bobby had left for the same reason).
I stood up, wobbling as the blood rushed down my body, and shuffled in the dark, before I found the curtain thingy and pulled on it, making it snap up abruptly, blinding me partially.
I pulled my things together, throwing whatever I got in my reach into the small suitcase. I threw on the clothes I'd left out last night, the same worn-down sneakers and baggy pants, and a clean T-shirt. I checked the time on that stupid alarm clock, 8:47?!? SINCE WHEN-
I picked up the suitcase, threw myself down the stairs, and saw Goofy and Sylvia laughing together quietly in the kitchen. I smiled slightly, but concentrated on what I had to do. I flew by them, rushing my goodbyes and see you soons, just in time too-
There was no Bobby this year to pick me up, I stuffed my skateboard into a duffel on my back, and skidded to a stop, turning abruptly to the car on right.
Was that-
"Bradley?"
I looked questioningly to a glowering Bradely, sitting comfortably in a nice sleek black car. He had a look on his face as if he'd smelt something rotten, probably my house no doubt, I bet he'd never stepped into another neighbourhood this low- his classy ass- I stifled a laugh.
"Just get in, freshman, I've got things to do." He uttered, glaring down at me.
"Oh- uh yeah-." I hurried to the intimidating car, sitting in the plush leather seats. He immediatly revved the car and rolled down the driveway, continuing the street. At this rate and speed- We'd get back to campus in a jiffy.
I glanced at him, "Soo, Brad, what made the god's bless me with your genrosity today?.."I taunted, although, why would Bradley pick me up, I mean, he did owe me, but I could've asked first, then teased... He scowled at me through the rearview mirror. "I'd never "bless you" with my presense willingly, Goofy, but your pops had me at a stale mate."
"Nice." I smirked at him, and finally saw the familiar streets of campus. We sped down, and before I knew it, Bradley was parking in the Gamma house lot. I stared out of the window, and turned to see a glowering Bradley looking down at me. "Come on freshman, I haven't got all day." I narrowed my eyes at him, but slipped out of the comfortable car, "Watch your mouth around me, Brad. I mean, you kinda nearly killed me and my dad last year, not to mention Tank, so chill."
I didn't slam the door because I liked the car a bit too much, and stomped down the driveway, slipping out my board, and while I stood up on it, Bradley shouted "I might be rude but at least I say thank you, Freshman!" which earned him me flipping him off while I skated away.I rode down the familiar streets and let myself loosen up, heading for the Bean Scene cafe, where I'd finally see Bobby and PJ. I allowed a slight smiled as I rounded the corner, kicking up the skateboard into my hands and rushed down the stairs, seeing them sitting in our usual booth from last year. "Bobby! PJ!!" I shouted happily, and recieved big hugs from them.
"Hey Maxie!-" "Max my guy!" I gave them pats on the back, and we all went to sit back at the table. PJ and Bobby seemed excited for this year, PJ more because him and Mocha could spend the whole year together. "Oh- and yeah, she's having a party tonight, knowing her, it probably won't be a full on rager, but still." He rattled on.
After a few rounds of capuccinos and coffee's they lead me out of the place and we walked to our dorm, catching up on how we spent our christmas's.
"My mom took me to the beach this christmas, you know, and I met this hot chic, she was totally out of my league but I mean we had it on." Bobby informed us, making PJ roll his eyes at me.
Once we got to our dorm, I threw my stuff in a corner, and changed the sheets on my bed- they hadn't been changed since last year, and that was a health hazard, at least that's what Dad told me sternly for once in his life (miss you dad).
