Listening to their stories, he felt an unease that he couldn't explain. The next day, he started to make his way home, but he could not leave the town. No matter which way he turned or how long he walked, he remained in the village. With each passing moment, he realized the truth: the village was ensnared in a curse, frozen in time with its inhabitants blissfully unaware of the world beyond their enchanted home. They were trapped, and now he had joined them.
