Kooks and Pogues, two tribes, one island. The two naturally didn't get along. The Kooks always got their way. Never having to worry about anything. They say money don't solve all your problems, well it sure does for the kooks.
Three young gentlemen are walking through the backyard of Sarah and Sophia's house. Topper Thornton, on the left of him is Rafe Cameron a tall blonde 19-year old wearing a plaid button up, khaki short, in flip flops with his hair combed over. On the right of him is Kelce a dark skinned 16-year old wearing a stripped long sleeve white shirt, blue shorts, and white shoes. They're talking about the bonfire the night before.
"You know I just can't get out of my head, it's just on repeat. 'Your move broski." Topper says nudging Kelce.
"Bro, he had a semiautomatic pointed at your head." Says Kelce.
"Thats what I'm saying. It's insane." Topper said looking over to Rafe.
"They're freaking Pogues man. You know you should get a piece." Rafe says to Topper as he stops walking and turns to him.
"What do you mean man?" Asked Topper.
"You gotta fight fire with fire and defend the homestead. Right?" Rafe says still standing there with Topper and Kelce.
"Better than being caught without one, I'll tell you that." Says Kelce as they continue walking.
"Listen guys I'm gonna get him back, alright? I'm making it a little project of mine." Said Topper stopping them from walking.
"Yo, that's Sarah." Kelce says pointing to Sarah in the distance.
Sarah Cameron, also known as the Kook princess. A cheerful, bubbly, outgoing teenager. She's kneeling down talking to a little girl.
"You left her in the boat?" Said Sarah to the little girl.
"Mmhm" cried the little girl.
"Okay can you tell me what she looks like?" Sarah said getting up but still listening to the little girl.
"She has a trunk and blue ears." Said the little girl.
"Okay I'm gonna get her for you." Sarah told the little girl as she's walking on to a boat with live wires hanging down from the power lines.
Sophia walks outside with a 13-year old brunette wearing glasses.
"What is she doing?" Said Sophia.
"Being Sarah, she's always doing something either dangerous or stupid." Said the brunette girl.
Sophia stands there watching Sarah thinking to herself 'if I would have stayed in obx I would be more like her'.
"She's gonna fall and get electrocuted" says the brunette girl standing next to Sophia
Sophia turns to her and says "don't say that Wheezie she could get really hurt."
"Whatever, I need to find dad the WiFi isn't working." Wheezie sighed walking away.
Topper sees Sophia standing there, he walks up to her.
"I'm sorry about last night, I was mad and wasn't thin-." Topper says to Sophia.
Cutting Topper off Sophia explains "look Top I'm not even worried about it. It's all good water under the bridge and all."
"Okay cool." Topper said
Topper walks back over to Rafe and Kelce.
"What was that about?" Rafe asks Topper.
"It's nothing everything is good." Topper says to Rafe while glaring at Sophia.
"Dude your sister is crazy Rafe." Kelce says to Rafe talking about Sarah.
"Watch her fall and make a big deal out of it." Rafe says while watching Sarah.
"Hey! There's fourteen thousand volts in those wires!" A lady with blonde hair yells out to Sarah.
As Sarah is being careful not stepping on the live wires Topper yells out "hey be careful."
"Oh you gotta be kidding me Sarah get down!" The blonde lady shouts to Sarah.
"Rose calm down I'm an athlete. I got this." Sarah says to the blonde lady.
"She just wants attention." Rafe says under his breath to Topper and Kelce.
Sarah is now in a playful mood and is dancing by moving her shoulders back and forth while still not stepping on the wires.
"Sarah that's not funny." Says Sophia
"Little fried Sarah." Rafe says taking off his sunglasses.
"I see her." Sarah said to the little girl
Sarah reaches for the stuffed animal, she falls. Sarah screams and Topper runs towards her.
"Sarah!" Topper shouts.
Sarah turns her head laughing, swinging the disconnect wire in her hand.
"Sarah that wasn't funny." Sophia says with an annoyed tone in her voice.
Kelce is laughing.
"It's disconnected, absolute sucker! Top you should see your face" Sarah said to Topper as he's standing there in relief.
"Yeah, okay I'm sorry that I care. Alright ? Guilty." Topper says to Sarah.
"Congrats, pussy. You're officially her bitch." Rafe says to Topper grabbing his shoulder with a slight bow.
One thing about the Outer Banks and the people who live there. Everyone knows everyone, whether it's from school or from it just being a little island. Which brings us to the Pogues. The cut is completely different from figure eight. Not so big houses, with not so big yards.
"Why are you still obsessing about Sophia?" John b says to Jj sitting on the couch with his hat over his face.
"It's just weird okay? Like from what I heard Sophia moved with their mom when their parents got divorced and hasn't been back since. Now all the sudden she's back? It just doesn't sit right with me." Jj says to John b getting up from the couch and walking over to him puffing on his vape.
"I work on Mr. Cameron's boat, if she's there I'll talk to her." John b says to Jj while he's standing in the door way of the front porch.
"Nah don't do that, she's gonna know we talked about it." Jj says to John b.
"Guys!" Someone from the distance shouts.
"What's going on with him now?" John b says throwing his hand up in the air.
"Guys guess what?" Pope says to John b and Jj with his hands on his needs gasping for air.
"What Pope?" Jj says.
"Hold on I ran all the way here" Pope says as he's taking deep breaths.
"I over heard people talking when I was delivering groceries for Heyward. You won't believe why Sophia is back in town." Pope says getting up and sitting on the couch on the front porch.
"What they say? I swear if you're over exaggerating like that time you seen a shark in the marsh when it was only a baby hammer head, I'm going to physically hurt you." Jj says walking over to Pope sitting on the couch.
"I heard something happened between Sophia and her mom, people think her mom became an addict and now she's back living with ward. I don't know if it's true but when word gets out, it travels fast." Pope says to Jj and John b.
