(Hana's POV)
I really hated my life.
My home was an orphanage, and an orphanage is one place you do not want to live at.
I never got treated nicely by the people that worked at the orphanage, and I never fit in with the other orphans.
It felt like a kid jail.
That night, when I was in bed, I was thinking about a way to make my life better. And then it hit me.
I decided the best thing to do would be to escape from the orphanage, and find a place I could get accepted at.
The next morning, when I woke up, I immediately got started with my breakout plans.
I quicky took off my nightdress, put on some clean clothes and shoes and grabbed a bag. I loaded the bag with my phone and charger, my nightdress and some more clean clothes.
I opened the window and crawled my way out. I was free at last.
"Alright!" I said with a fist pump. "Phase one, said and done. Now for phase two, finding my new home!"
I travelled through the city, looking for a suitable home, but no matter where I looked, I couldn't find one.
"I guess I'll have to look in another city," I said to myself.
I hurried out of the city, and into the forest. The forest was rather big, and it was quite an exhaustion to make my way through it.
Soon enough, I was no longer able to carry on. I set my bag down, and laid on the ground to catch my breath for a while.
At that moment, the blue skies under the trees were drowned out by a sea of gray clouds. All of a sudden, a large, star-shaped vortex appeared in the sky, and began to pull in everything around me. "What's going on?" I said to myself.
To make it worse, I started to get pulled into the vortex myself. I tried to save myself by hanging onto a tree branch, but it broke off, and I was sucked right into the vortex.
Inside, I was thrown about a strange tunnel, and there was several stuff around me. I couldn't tell when I would be out of the tunnel. And then, I reached the end.
I landed on a sandy ground. When I got up, I found myself on a tropical beach. In front of me was a wall of vegetation, and in the middle was some kind of pathway.
Intrigued, I made my way through the pathway. When I reached the other side, I found a large city, covered in greenery.
I travelled through the place, amazed by all the large buildings, until I found something else.
I had come across a particular building, which looked familiar. It looked just like the orphanage I lived in.
Then a thought came to me. "It is the orphanage..." I said to myself. "Then that means...I'VE BEEN SENT TO THE FUTURE!!!"
This realisation flooded my brain so much, that I promptly passed out.
(Kirby's POV)
I was hanging out in the Natural Plains with my two besties, Elfilin and Bandana Dee.
"Let's see how far you can throw your spear!" I said to Dee. "I bet you can't throw it over those tree over there!"
"We'll see about that!" Dee replied, and with that, he gave his spear a mighty toss, and it soared right over the trees.
"Wow, I stand corrected!" I said in response.
"Where did it land?" Elfilin said. "I'm not quite sure," Dee replied.
"I'll get it!" I said, running off in the direction Dee threw his spear in.
I scuttled through the trees, and saw Dee's spear lodged in the ground. I ran to it and tugged on it as hard as I could to free it.
The spear eventually came out with a pop. I tumbled backwards a few feet.
When I hoisted myself back up, I saw the most unusual thing I had ever seen. It was some kind of girl, and it was unconscious.
"Uh, guys?" I called to Elfilin and Dee. "You might wanna see this."
"What is it, Kirby?" Elfilin said as he and Dee approached. They were just as surprised as me when they saw the girl.
"I've never seen anything like this in all my life!" Dee said. "Neither have I, Dee," I replied. "But I have a strong suspicion that this girl is one of those 'ancient beings' Leo once told us about."
"I think she's sleeping..." Elfilin said as he gazed at the girl. "She might be, Elfilin," I replied. "I think it's best to take her to my house until she wakes up." The others agreed.
I grabbed the girl's left leg, while Dee grabbed her right, and Elfilin got under her head and lifted her up. Together, we carried the girl into Waddle Dee Town.
When we brought the girl to my home, Elfilin pulled her onto my bed. "All that's left is to wait until she wakes up," he said.
A few moments later, the girl started to groan.
(Hana's POV)
After being unconscious for so long, I finally woke up. I found myself lying on a bed in a small room. I looked forth, and in front of me were three funny-looking creatures: a small pink ball with stubby arms and red feet, a small, chinchilla-like critter with aquamarine fur and wing-like ears and a orange, pear-like being with yellow feet and a blue bandana.
We stared at each other for a brief moment. "She's awake..." the pink creature said, quietly.
I then screamed in surprise at the creatures, who screamed back at me. I fell off the bed from the shock.
"Please don't hurt us, please don't hurt us!" the orange creature whimpered.
With the curiosity of a child, I crawled towards the little creatures. "What are you?" I said, slowly.
I gently poked the pink creature, causing us to both recoil in surprise.
"Where am I?" I said. "How did I get here?"
"We found you unconscious in the Natural Plains," the aquamarine creature explained. "And we brought you here, in Kirby's house."
"Who's Kirby?" I asked. The pink creature stepped forth. "I'm Kirby," he said. "Nice to meet you."
"My name's Bandana Dee," the orange creature said. "or Dee for short."
"And my name's Elfilin," the aquamarine creature said. "What's yours?"
"I...I'm...Hana," I said, slowly.
"Where did you come from?" Kirby asked.
"Well, wouldn't y'know it," I said. "I came from the past."
"The past?" Elfilin repeated. "Yeah," I replied. "I was pulled into this era by a mysterious vortex."
"That's weird," Dee replied. "I know, right?" I replied. "Would you mind showing me around...uh...wherever I am?"
"Sure!" Kirby replied, leading us to his door.
