It was their anniversary soon. Seungcheol was walking around the market with Jeonghan, buying their groceries. "Cheol look at that store! All the pretty flowers~"
'Flowers huh? Maybe i could gift him that...' Seungcheol thought. But what type of flowers? Well no time to waste. Their anniversary was in 5 days. Seungcheol took a leave from work for 10 days but he didn't tell Jeonghan. He got dressed like usual the next morning but in a more casual setting. When Jeonghan waved him off to work, he was.. confused?
'Why did he dress more casual today? Maybe it's nothing. Now i get started on -' Jeonghan brushed away his thoughts and started working on whatever it was he was working on.
Meanwhile, with his work leave, Seungcheol was in the market yet again. Yesterday with Jeonghan, today without. He was trying to trace his steps and find the store with the flowers. Finally he found the store. He chucked while reading the name.
'Angelica flowers? Seriously? I wonder who thought of that' he thought.
And somewhere in the distance, a lady named 'Hani' sneezed.
"Hani? Are you okay?" Hani's fiancé, Sebastian, came to her aid from the sound of the sneeze.
"Yeah I'm okay! I think someone talked shit about me hump" She hugs her fiance, "go back to the back~ you promised me you'd let me work by myself! Plus you already abandoned the company for so long, you're making Dika stressed! And Dika stressed means Josephine would give me an earful telling me to tell you to stop stressing her husband!" Hani finally sucked in a deep breath.
"I talked so much i almost fainted! Now go!" She shoo'ed her fiancé and he reluctantly left. Leaving her at the front desk to continue her work. Before she could continue her work, the bell that signaled the door being opened went off.
"Hiya! Welcome to Angelica flowers? How can i help you?" She greets the man that just walked in. 'he has a strikingly strong resemblance to Sebastian...' she thought.
"Uhm yeah im just looking around for now..." The man rubbed his neck and turned his attention to the flowers. 'That lady looked so much like Jeonghan that i almost said it out loud... Now what would Hannie like?' he thought
Seungcheol couldn't choose what flowers would be best and Hani noticed. "Having a hard time sir?" She said gently.
"Yeah i can't choose what to get..." He sighed in defeat and faced the florist
"What's the special occasion and for who?" She asked and grabbed her sheet containing all the data she had about the flowers in the shop.
"Well uhm, my anniversary of 8 years with my boyfriend 4 days.." Seungcheol felt embarrassed talking about Jeonghan to new people, in a good way though. He didn't just wanna get carried away and talk all about his boyfriend to a stranger. Well at least not again...
"Oh really! Congrats! You should propose soon you know~ that'd be the perfect setting! Continuing, do you know if they like any flowers already?" Hani congratulated him and continued asking.
"Yeah I'm planning too, and uhm we have pink and yellow tulips in the garden... But i was thinking something else... Something meaningful" Seungcheol confessed his inner thoughts and Hani tapped her chin thinking.
"Well... Maybe if you express your boyfriend to me i can connect it to the meaning of a certain flower!" Hani felt like she could scream because she felt like she just had her big brain moment.
"Yeah that would work! Oh uhm... If i were to talk about Hannie... He is such a lively person to me. He's like... The sun in my life... Sorry that's corny" Seungcheol stopped his rambling and blushed because he had just spoken about the light of his life so openly.
"Oh don't worry! Continue a bit more!" She encouraged him, even if she already knew what flowers she would pick. Shes just so curious about this couple.
"Oh well... Hes strong, persistent, trustworthy, and always lights up the room or gives hope to people" Seungcheol felt like he could fly away whenever he thought of Jeonghan.
"I can really tell you care about him a lot. Don't let him go okay? Now for that bouquet-" Hani snapped Seungcheol back to reality and finished their flowery business. The bouquet was gonna be primarily yellow with pink accents. At first she said it would be ready as soon as possible but Seungcheol told her to take her time. He explained he was gonna take his boyfriend on the anniversary to pick them up.
The date of the anniversary came Seungcheol and Jeonghan were ecstatic. Both busy with their own surprises. First in the morning, Jeonghan surprises Seungcheol with freshly baked melon bread, his favourite. After breakfast, Seungcheol said he'd be taking Hannie on a picnic.
"Wait, that's such perfect timing! I made a cake for us!" Jeonghan squealed and hugged Seungcheol, "it's like you read my mind"
Seungcheol reciprocated the hug and they both packed up and got ready. Seungcheol finally said that he took a leave off of work for 10 days so they could spend time together. First surprise, Seungcheol prepped and fixed their old bikes from their highschool days. "Wahhh! You did this in 5 days? And there's more? These bikes really take me back to our high school days." Jeonghan praised Seungcheol and rewarded him with a kiss. Flustered, Seungcheol fumbled on his next words.
"I uhm- yeah! Anyways let's get g- going! Were stopping at the mar- market first!" He quickly got on his bike and made sure Jeonghan got on his. Jeonghan laughed at his boyfriend, lovingly of course.
They finally reached the market and Seungcheol finally led him towards the flower shop. "Isn't this the flower shop I pointed out to you last time we went grocery shopping?" Seungcheol nodded and opened the door.
"Hold on a second! I'll be right with you!" A voice from the back was heard and Hani popped to the front.
"Hi Seungcheol! Is that Jeonghan?" She waved and smiled as Seungcheol nodded, bringing Jeonghan towards the counter. "You talked to her about me?" Jeonghan asked. "How could i not?" Seungcheol responded, making Jeonghan flutter for the 5th time today.
"Congratulations on your anniversary guys! Here are the flowers! Jeonghan i bet you'd like them~ your beloved boyfriend told me all about you to pick out the best ones" Jeonghan and Hani both snickered as Seungcheol turned away from them both, cursing mentally.
"Oh! These are so pretty!! What are they?" Jeonghan sniffed the flowers in awe.
"They're marigolds and-"
