"They're yellow marigolds accompanied with pink begonias and white petunias! I'll have you know, your boyfriend's thought process while picking the marigolds was quite the adventure!" Hani explained, excited about how cute the couple was.
"Really? What's so special about it?" Jeonghan asked, "it's just a couple of flowers?"
"Well you see, marigolds in general represent power, strength, and light that lives inside of a person! But yellow marigolds are different. They represent positive feelings, happiness, and joy. The orange-red accents in the yellow flower also symbolize love, passion, and romance!"
"Is that what you really think of me Cheol?" Jeonghan laughed while blushing. Seungcheol didn't say anything about it, he just snuggled himself into the crook of Jeonghan's neck.
After some more talking, they even met Sebastian! They all laughed at each other's resemblance then Jeongcheol made their way, continuing their date. They got back onto their bikes but before they took off,
"Hey, where are we going for the picnic?" Jeonghan asked, putting the flowers into the basket of his bike.
"I think you'll know on the way" Seungcheol winks but get a punch in return.
They arrived at the picnic spot and Jeonghan felt nostalgia wash over him.
"Wah! this was the same spot we had our first date and picnic at!" Jeonghan ran over to the spot beside the river and saw a picnic blanket and basket already there.
"When did you set this up? I'm pretty sure this basket wouldn't have been here over night" He asked, grabbed Seungcheols hand and brought him over, leaving their bicycles on the bicycle rack.
"Oh right! i should thank Joshua and Seokmin- they set this up this morning but i gave the items to them" He sat down and opened the basket. He pulled out a sandwich.
"You even know my favorite sandwich combo! You know me too well, I'm not letting you go" Jeonghan hugged him and pecked his cheek. Sure he and Jeonghan had their sour moments, but as long as they loved each other, they were unstoppable.
As soon as they finished eating, the sun was setting and they had packed the basket back up.
"I have one more spot we need to go to, there's no time to waste!" Instead of going back on their bikes, Seungcheol locked their bikes at the rack and they ran to the last destination.
They ran not too far before finally arriving at a familiar bridge. It was the same small bridge near their highschool where Seungcheol had asked Jeonghan to be his boyfriend at.
"Wah.. you really brought me back down memory lane." They leaned on the railing, looking over the river and at the setting sun.
"You wanna add another memory to that lane?" Seungcheol turned his body to fully face Jeonghan before kneeling down.
"Huh?" He got on to one knee.
Seungcheol took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the moment and a heavy sensation in the air. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box. Opening it revealed a beautiful ring that glowed in the light of the setting sun.
"Jeonghan, from the moment we met, you've filled my life with so much joy, laughter, and love. You've been my light, my sun, and my greatest love. Every moment with you is a treasure, and I can't imagine my life without you. We've created so many wonderful memories together, and I want to keep making memories with you for the rest of our lives."
Jeonghan's eyes were in shock, tears beginning to form.
"Jeonghan, will you marry me?" Seungcheol asked, his voice filled with love and sincerity.
Jeonghan looked down at Seungcheol, his heart overflowing with emotion. "Yes, Seungcheol, a thousand times yes!"
Seungcheol slipped the ring onto Jeonghan's finger, and Jeonghan had tackled Seungcheol onto the floor. The world seemed to fade away as they giggled against each other's skin, the setting sun casting a golden glow around them. It was a perfect moment, they finally sealed that moment with a kiss.
