"hello!!" acasia excitedly exclaimed. she's been waiting for this since he said he would do it.

"come in come in! sorry if this is informal, i figured you wouldn't want to do this in a coffee shop haha!" ceaser, her bernedoodle, came up inspecting evan. he was very well dressed, and made acasia look underdressed. "sorry about her! she's super friendly and loves visitors haha."

"so this song?" evan changed the subject, clearly interested in only one thing here, if that.

"yeah! so basically i'm writing my new album, and it's about my best friends and how they really helped me and made me a better person. but i believe every album tells a story, especially the tracklist. so the first few songs will be how i was before i met them, and i'm planning for this one to be one of those first few. i started writing it a bit, hang on i have it over here i'll show you." she grabbed her notebook full of her songs, flipping to the ribboned page then showing him.

he studied it very carefully, making sure he read each word. "what's the tune? the tempo? actually could you just play it."
"yeah of course!" she played it on the piano, singing it while she played.

"it actually isn't horrible, i don't really see how it needs a feature though." oh. maybe he doesn't want to do this for her.

"well, i mean sure i could do it myself, but i planned it out having a feature. i was hoping you would do the second verse." and give some constructive criticism, she doesn't say out loud.

"don't laugh this time" evan scolded acasia, with a smile on his face. they've been working on this for hours now, however they weren't writing anymore.

"i'll try!!" she did try, and this take was a lot better. until she yawned. during the outro.

"i'm sorry!" she immediately said, genuinely sorry. "is there any way we can salvage it? just redo the outro?" she hurriedly asked her producer, steve.

after a minute of thinking, steve came to the conclusion that they cant. and had to redo it. again.

their next try was perfect. "that took a while" evan said once out of the recording box.

"nope, i actually think thats the fastet i've ever recorded a song before." evan stood in disbelief, looking at steve for confirmation. "yup" steve nodded.

"the writing wasn't any faster! you changed everything so much!" she flailed her arms while talking, clearly getting fussed up.

"yeah, and look how good the song turned out."

"fine, but none of the takes were as good as the last one anyways." he gave her a small 'mhm'. the clock now read, 11:57?? evan came over at 3:00, you can guess how long this took. they said their goodbyes and were about to part ways.

"hold on, wait. when are you releasing this?" he quickly added before they left.

"well, i want this to be the second single. i have another week of easter eggs left, and then the first single comes out, so about 3 weeks from now. why?"
