The week to start training came by quickly. Brianna could hardly sleep the night before. She had been waiting for this day to come. She arrived at the practice arena at the time the official on the phone told her. The official gave her a tour around the arena including a tour of the practice ring and the locker rooms. She would be sharing the men's locker rooms but thankfully hers was on a different side of the room away from theirs in order to make it comfortable for her and so that way there wouldn't be any awkward or inappropriate moments.
Brianna got out her gear to practice, which included her sparring helmet, her dusty rose pink colored gloves, her mouth guard and her water bottle. Her trainer wasn't here yet so she decided to take a walk around the locker room. She thought about what the other boxers would look like and act like. She figured they wouldn't be too mean but you never know with men. She was so lost in thought she didn't realize she was walking backwards and bumped into someone behind her.
She turned around quickly to see a very tall man standing in front of her. The man was 6'6" and nothing but pure muscle. Brianna got a little terrified looking up at the man. She didn't notice the bench behind her and she tripped backwards nearly falling but the tall man grabbed her before she fell. "I-I'm so sorry I didn't see you, I-I should have looked where I was going." She said nervously.
The man looked down to see her trembling a little bit in fear. "Всё нормально?" He asked her. Brianna didn't know much Russian but she did know the phrase to tell someone she couldn't speak Russian. "Я не говорю по-русски" She replied and hoped that the Russian man knew at the very most some English. "Oh very sorry, I ask if you ok. You almost fell." He said. "Yes, I'm fine. I just got a little bit scared." She was glad that the man knew some English. Even though he didn't speak it very well, she could still understand him. "I apologize for frightening you, I promise I'm not mean."
"That's ok, all is forgiven." She said. "I'm Soda Popinski, I come from Russia." He said. "I'm Brianna, Brianna Cavatelli. I was born here in America."
"you the same woman on tv? The one who won championship and now come to box with us?" He asked. "Yes, that's me." She said. She was surprised that he knew who she was. She guessed completely annihilating the women's league has its perks. At that moment her trainer came in looking for her. "Well I better go find my trainer, it was a pleasure meeting you." She said holding out her hand. "It very nice to meet you too." Said Soda shaking her hand.
She came out of the locker room to find her trainer waiting for her. She smiled in surprise as her trainer was none other than the former heavyweight champion himself, Little Mac. She walked up to him. "You must be Brianna." He said. "And you must be Little Mac my trainer." She said. "The one and only." They both shook hands. "You know, since you got the title of champion shouldn't they call you Big Mac?" She asked smiling. He laughed. "I have considered changing my name to that but I figured everyone would be making McDonald's jokes." They both laughed in agreement. "Well I better go get changed really quickly, why I didn't do that before hand I don't know but oh well." She said.
Brianna walked back to the locker rooms to get changed. Her attire consisted of a dusty rose pink sports bra, black compression shorts, and black boots that came up to her calves. She grabbed her boxing gloves which were also dusty rose pink and put them on. She also grabbed her helmet which was black and put it on her head. Now she wouldn't wear it during the actual matches just only when she was training. She put in her mouth guard and walked out to the practice ring.
Brianna and Little Mac trained for what seemed like hours. Sparring, weight training, and cardio always does a number on the body. Her whole body felt like jello. "Well that concludes our training for the day. You are very strong, I can see why they put you on the men's team." Said Mac. "Well I honestly hope I can even come close to the other fighters." She said. "Don't sweat it you'll be fine I know you got this."
The minor circuit started in three weeks. Every day, Brianna trained endlessly working on perfecting her techniques with Little Mac. The final day of training came quickly. "Well its the final day before the minor circuit league I know you are ready." Said Mac. "Not going to lie to you Mac, I am a bit nervous about this, after all it is the first time I've fought men."
"Don't be nervous, you got this I know you do." She went back to the locker room to shower. Thankfully she was the only person in the locker room and she also had her own shower so that way she didn't have to share with the guys. Even better was it was on her own side where her locker was. After her shower she got dressed. She remembered she had to get her ID badge today so she decided to do her hair and makeup. She stood in the mirror drying her hair. After she did that she started to curl it since she brought it with her. Cordless curlers were the best thing she ever bought in her opinion. After finishing curling her hair she put in her headphones and listened to music. A good song came on and Brianna started swaying her hips to the rhythm and singing to the song which. She thought she was alone but as it turned out she was not.
She didn't hear the door to the locker room open. A tall man with light brown hair walked in as he just finished training. He was wearing red and yellow boxing shorts and yellow boots. He heard her singing and hid behind a wall so he could watch her. Brianna is a gorgeous woman. Her tattooed arm muscles glowed in the light, her chest perfectly sized, curvy waist with a bellybutton piercing and hips, and muscular thighs and calves inked with tattoos. "Ella es absolutamente hermosa" he said to himself as he watched her sway her hips in perfect timing. His mouth ran dry at the sight of her and a tent started forming in his shorts. The song had finished and she started gathering her stuff together. The man quickly tried to get his tent to go down. He finally was able to walk up to her. "You know, you are a beautiful dancer and singer." Brianna nearly jumped out of her skin. She turned to see the man standing in front of her. She blushed in embarrassment. "Please tell me you didn't see that." She said trying to hide her face. "No no I actually liked watching you dance, you are a beautiful woman." Brianna's face was hot and red. "Well thanks, I'm not the best dancer in the world." She said.
"I'm Brianna. I was born here in America. I'm competing in the minor circuit tomorrow." She said.
"I'm Don, Don Flamenco. I come from Spain. Its very nice to meet you." Don said kissing her hand. She blushed at the action. Brianna always had a thing for Spaniard men. She didn't know if it was their charm or their accent but she melted at the sound of their voice. "So you are competing in the match tomorrow?""Yes, I am although I'm not sure how well I will do this is my first time competing with men and not like in a love triangle way." Don chuckled. He knew exactly how that was. After all he is a ladies man. "From what I have heard about you I know you will do well." He said. "Well I gotta go I have a lot of things I have to do before the match tomorrow." Brianna said. "I understand, well I'll be seeing you soon."
Brianna left the arena to get her things for the match tomorrow. She couldn't help but think about that sexy Spaniard that spoke to her. Her face flushed red thinking about him.His tan skin made his muscles shine in the locker room light considering he wasn't wearing a shirt and his accent when he talked nearly drove her to her knees. She pushed the thought to the side, she had more important things to worry about such as the match.
