21| Midnight Snack

I walked past her rooms so many times that I couldn't keep count. The dinner Amelia Left her was still at the door not even touch.

Her room light was on so I know she still awake which is a surprise since it's 2 in the morning.

She probably doing all that work Fransisco gave her. He made sure to add extra then the teacher even gave her. He claimed it was a punishment.

I wanted to badly knock on the door to at least check up on her but I couldn't. I promise Francisco I wouldn't interfere with his rules and punishment against them.

I sighed as I walk away from Reign door.

I went down the hall to check on Rose. Rose sometimes get nightmares so I'm always checking up on her.

I open Rose door and as expected she was crying in her sleep turning and tossing.

"Rose" I said softly "Rose" I called her again as I seen her jump up

"It's okay" I said as I pulled her to my chest as she sobbed

"I'm S-sorry" she stuttered between her sobbed

I just held her as she sobbed. This was normal for us. She has a nightmare and usually come to me or I'll go to her.

"Try to go to sleep. If you can't I'm just down the hall, okay?" I said softly "and no more crying"

She nodded as she layed back down. I sighed as I turned the light off and closed the door. The nightmares have been non stop since that day.

I sensed eyes around me so I looked down the hall to find Reigns door open but was quickly closed when I looked.

I went down the hall towards her room and knocked on her door. I saw the door open as a shaken Reign hid behind the door.

Shit shit shit I didn't think of what to say.

"Hey Reign" I tried to say softly but came out sorta rough
She visibly tensed as I said her name

"You wanna come to the kitchen with me for a late night snack" I said

She thought about it for second before slowly nodding.

I step aside to let her go first.
We made our way downstairs to the kitchen.

"What's your favorite ice cream?" I asked as I opened the freezer

I remembered she use to love Oreo just like Rose but I don't know if it changed so I asked

"Ummm I-i" she cleared her throat "w-we didn't really have ice cream at the school I went to" she said as she played with her fingers

The air got thicker as I saw her shoulders tensed

"No way you haven't experienced heaven until you tryed my creation" I said as I dramatic put my hand on head and faked pass out

I saw her shoulders relaxed as she had a small smile on her face

I took out the ingredients for my 'Creation' as I told Reign

I put Oreo ice cream in the blender with cola and caramel syrup. As the ice cream blended I put caramel syrup in the cup and added crushed Oreos at the bottom.

In all honesty I haven't made these since Reign had been sent away

When Reign left Rose could barely even look at ice cream. She said she didn't like it anymore but I knew it was because it reminded her to much of Reign.

"There you go my fan Favorite Creation loved by all who have tried" I said as I finished pouring the float into the cup and top it with a cherry and straw

She looked unsure as she looked at the cup "go on it's good" I said
She slowly took a sip and I watch as her eyes lit up

"Soooooo" I dragged out as I watch her take more sips

"It's delicious" she said a little to loud "I mean it's good" she said as she looked embarrassed

"I used to make these for you and Rose all the time when you were younger" I said softly "I stopped making them when you left though"

She stop drinking and looked up "sorry" she said as she looked down

"That's-" I was cut off by Francisco "Reign it's 3 in the morning why are you not sleeping" Francisco said
When did he come down?

"I-I was fin-finishing the work" she said
I watch as she balled her fist up to keep her hands from Shaking

"Well you have school in the morning" "this will be your official first day, that is if you don't skip again" he narrowed his eyes at her

I watch as it looked like she stopped breathing and her body tensed

"I'm s-sorry I d- I w-won't" she struggled to even get the sentence out

"So you should probably be sleeping so you won't be tired in class" Francisco said "correct?" He asked

I watched as her eyes widened and she stood up so fast that she almost fell. "T-Thank you for the snack" she told me keeping her eyes on her hands the entire time

I didn't want her to leave yet she didn't even finish drinking her float.

I watch her turn to the float contemplating if she should take it or not.

I saw her look at Fransisco and decided that it wasn't the best idea to take it

She practically sprinted past him and up the stairs

I signed "it was just a midnight snack" I said as I took her glass in dump it

"She's in trouble which means she should not be getting rewarded with milk shakes" Francisco said

"It's a float" I said as I rinsed the cup out

"Do I need to remind you that you promise that you wouldn't get in the way of my guardian ship of the kids?" he said as he crosssed his arms

I stayed silent. It didn't matter what I'd say he was right. He was their guardian and I wasn't so I couldn't interfere with his punishments.

But she is still my sister so it didn't matter what he says

Francisco sighed "I have to run to the warehouse. I'll be back in the morning to collect Reign worked." He said

I just nodded my head at him as I watch him leave
