3 months later...
Caitlin took the pink envelope out from her bag and looked at it for a long time. She held the letter tightly in her hand and pressed it against her chest. When she received the letter 3 months ago, she didn't call her father or Sister Luna to verify. She just threw herself in her bed and cried for 3 hours to digest and accept the truth. She cried because she doesn't understand why her mother gave her away. She cried because she couldn't accept that she still have a sister in this world. She cried because everything was too late and she has not much time left to find her and know more about her. But that sadness and struggles only took her 3 hours. She realized that life is full of inevitable regrets, from birth to death, every people have regrets. She has to cherish and spend her every minute with something meaningful that she wouldn't add anymore regrets into her life. She doesn't want to waste any more time to be sad and asking for some unanswered questions.
After thinking for the whole night, she went back to the office and tendered her resignation the next morning. She served her notice for 3 months and sold her condo unit. She planned to look for Catherine first before she go back to Tarlac and spend her remaining time with her father.
"Miss, Heto yung lugar dun sa Address. Yung bahay na hinahanap niyo ay yung bahay na malaki na kulay puti. Hindi ho pwede ang taxi dun. Kung pwede po ay maglakad na lamang kayo papunta dun." The taxi driver said.
The driver's voice cut Caitlin off from her deep thoughts. She looked out the window before she turned back to the taxi driver. "Malayo po sa City etong lugar na to?" She asked.
"Ahh.. Oo.. Mga mayayaman ang mga nakatira dito." The taxi driver replied.
Caitlin nodded her head as she paid the driver before she stepped out of the taxi. The driver helped her to get her luggage before he drove away. She took a deep breath before walking towards the big white house that was about 100 meters away from her. Just then, she was startled by a nice white luxury car that stopped in front of her, blocking her way. She saw a small little boy at around 8 to 10 years old get out of the car with a nervous expression, running towards her.
"Mommy!"
Before Caitlin could react, the little boy already wrapped his tiny arms tightly around her waist. Her eyes widened in shock as she tried to push the little boy away to take a clearer look at him. But his strength was very strong and he was hugging her very tightly, doesn't want to let go.
"Mommy, where have you been? I miss you very much." The little boy said as he started to cry.
Caitlin totally confused with the situation and when she was about to tell him that she wasn't his mother, a tall woman came out of the car and caught her attention. She was very tall and very attractive woman but her facial expression was scary. She was cold and looked angry.
Bea De Leon walked towards them as her eyes were staring straight into her eyes. That gaze was cold and stern. It makes Caitlin's heartbeat raced and felt uncomfortable.
"Mommy, I have been waiting for you every day. I did behave when you are not around. I did listen to Dada and Nanay Celia. I go to school every day and finish my meal every day." The little boy said in between sobs.
Caitlin became more confused now as she looked up at the woman in front of her again. "I... he... you..." She doesn't know what to say. She was too shocked. She doesn't understand why a girl as big as her will mistaken a wrong person as his mother.
"Let's go." Bea said coldly.
Caitlin looked at her in disbelief. "Go where? Who are you?"
Bea's eyes darkened. "Who am I? You don't even recognize your own spouse now? You are unbelievable." She said through gritted teeth. Her eyes were still daggered at her.
