Up in Smoke

Ch 9

Meanwhile, back at the hospital, Trixie was lying in her bed.

"Well kiddo, it looks like you and are assigned to each other."

Trixie tried to feel around as Coral had instructed her. But all she could feel was something that felt like fur.

Trixie stammered, "W - who are you?"

Iris answered, "I'm Iris Studwell! I'm your fairy godparent! And also your seeing eye dog!"

Trixie asked, "So I am getting a fairy?"

Iris gushed, "Yes and it will be great!"

Trixie felt Iris's nose as she felt the fur of her 'seeing eye dog'. Trixie giggled. Oh she couldn't believe that this was happening.

...

Nacey had returned to Dimmsdale, still furious and crying. She walked into the hotel, seeing that Nina was waiting for her.

Nina asked, "Didn't go so well?"

Nacey wiped her eyes, "We used to be so close. But now..."

Nina questioned, "Wait, is uncle staying evil?"

Nacey sadly admitted, "Seems like it."

The goth girl looked at her, "Does he know...?"

The magical being stated, "I didn't tell him. And I know you didn't." Nina shook her head. She added, "He just said that N. Gin said that he could stay at Iceberg Lair."

Nina gave her mother a hug, which she happily returned. They parted out of their hug.

Nina promised, "I'm still here for you, mom."

Nacey replied, "Thanks Nina."

Nina teased, "Just don't tell everyone. I still have a rep to protect."

To that, Nacey laughed. Just then, her phone alerted her that she had a text. Nina took a look and saw a text from the Turners.

Terrance texted, 'Could you come by and keep an eye on Tommy tonight since we are headed out for a bit?'

Nina rolled her eyes as she replied, 'Sure I'll be there.' She looked up at her mom, "I got to head over to the Turners. Will you be alright by yourself?"

Nacey nodded, "I'll be fine thanks." She kissed Nina's cheek and added, "You go ahead."

Nina smiled as she did what she was told. Nacey waited until she was gone before she started crying. She was still upset about her brother but what could she do. Neo had to come to the decision on his own.

...

Timmy turned to Trixie, her dressed in a wedding gown. He was in a tuxedo. Everything was set up for a beautiful wedding, even a seeing eye dog for Trixie.

Trixie stated, "And now, for the best kiss ever!"

Just as Timmy was about to lean in and kiss his bride, the wedding bells rang. He looked around, seeing that everything around him was changing. It was becoming dull and gray.

Timmy started to say, "What in the..."

Before he could finish, a shadowy hand grabbed him by the throat. Timmy began to choke as he saw him. The only word that the pink hatted boy could think of was jester. An insane jester - with an air of familiarity.

Timmy was fighting back but before anything else happened, green lightning caught his attention as a man in green grabbed the insane jester.

Timmy regained air, watching in fear as he heard the man in green say something to him - as if he knew Timmy.

"I'm sorry... looks like you are going on without me. Be strong...for all of us."

Timmy pleaded, "No no! Please don't..."

The name was on the tip of his tongue but that's when the green thunder that he was using to kill the insane jester - and himself.

"NO!" Timmy cried out, sobbing as he fell to the floor. "No! Please come back! Luigi!"

...

"Timmy?"

The pink hatted boy woke with a start, hearing Wanda's voice. He panted and was crying a lot.

Wanda sat down with him and asked, "Another bad dream?"

Timmy nodded. Wanda rubbed his back to calm him down. Wanda was getting concerned. Timmy would have these vivid nightmares about things that never happened - swearing that they felt very real to him.

After Wanda calmed him down, she noticed that Timmy had passed out on her. Wanda smiled sadly. Oh how she wished that they could stay like this forever.

She would love to have her son with them - finally. But she knew that Timmy would miss Earth too much. She soon drifted off to sleep too.

...

After school the next day (and trying not to piss off the populars), Tootie had met up with Chester and A.J. Timmy had went to the hospital to visit Trixie.

Chester greeted, "Hey Tootie. You wanted to see us?"

Tootie blushed at Chester as she answered, "Ahuh...it's about Timmy."

A.J perked up, "What about Timmy?"

Tootie told them, "Have you realized that strange things have been happening lately involving Timmy? It can't be a coincidence."

A.J and Chester looked at each other before they looked at the younger sister of Vicky. While they remembered what happened with the Darkness, Tootie was never there. They didn't want to risk Timmy losing his fairy godparents. So they were going to play dumb.

Chester commented, "Hadn't noticed that. Have you A.J?"

A.J quickly admitted, "No I haven't."

Tootie raised a brow. It wasn't like she didn't believe them but something in her gut was telling her otherwise. Something was wrong.

She asked, "Why won't you tell me? Be honest with me. What's going on?"

"Looks like we got here in good time, son."

"Yeah we can help with this one, home run."

"Of course we can! After all, it is our job."

With three poofs, Lionel, Roger, and Binky all appeared to the kids. They all exchanged looks with one another. Just what was going on...?

Lionel introduced, "I'm Lionel. This is Roger and Binky." He pointed to them respectfully. He added, "And we are your fairy godparents!"

Roger pointed out, "Lionel is your godparent and Binky is Tootie's." To that, Binky nodded. He turned to Chester, "I'm yours slugger."

Chester stammered, "I - is this really happening? I - I know I should be happy but..."

Tootie raised a brow, "But...?"

Chester froze for a moment. Oh right. Tootie didn't know about that either. Instead, Binky cleared his throat and everyone turned to him.

Binky reasoned, "All shall be explained, Tootie. But you were right earlier. There is something huge going on and the Fairy Counsel all agreed that you kids should have fairies. Though, for you Tootie, you have to follow the rules to a T. You don't want to lose another fairy."

Tootie was totally confused. When did she...? The memories were slowly returning to her. Oh... that's what Binky meant. That's when she fainted.
