My head bobs back and forth, as I'm jamming out to my tunes. Eyes squinting from the grin stretched across my face as the sun beams down through the rows and rows of trees. I begin to run, fast and free throughout the woods, exploring my newfound home in Beacon Hills. Leaves crunching beneath my heels as I jump over a large rock, morning dew brushing against my slightly exposed ankles, the lure of fresh crisp air making me want to stay out longer, but father time keeps me in reality. The alarm goes off and I pause my music. Taking my headphones off and checking how many miles I've ran. "6.5km in 20 minutes? Ive done better." I say to no one but myself. I check the time, 6:25 AM. Eyes widen and leaves begin to crunch again as I speed back to the direction of my house, I have orientation at 7:30! Shit, I can't be late on my first day!
@7:30
I luckily make it to Beacon Hills High on time for my orientation, my parents however are not with me since they're always traveling to who knows where. Sending me money from time to time, not understanding that I'd rather have my parents around for small and big moments. Such as right now. However it does come in handy when I want to get loose, party and what not. I've never stayed somewhere for long enough to make actual friends, but I have a feeling that this time, it might be different.
I walk up to the front desk,giving my name and explaining what I'm here for. The lady at the front gave me a warm smile, shook my hand firmly, and asked me to sit while she printed out my schedule. "Someone will be here to give you a tour in a minute dear!" She says with a wink. I send a smile her way as I start to mindlessly look around the room. "Hi mom, is this her?" A red head strolls in, questioning my presence. I stand up as her mom nods her head while being on a call. She hands the girl a paper and gets back to the call.
"Hell-" she stops mid sentence and blankly stares at me. I can't tell what's going on as I wave a hand in her face questioningly. She snaps back apologizing, then starting again. "Hello! Sorry about that. My name is Lydia, and I'll be helping you with your tour today." She says as a strong hand sticks out to shake mine. I lightly chuckle and pull her into a hug instead. "I'm Y/N!" I exhale as I pull away leaving her startled. "Nice to meet you Lydia! I'm so excited!! Let's get started."
As Lydia and I bounce from last period going one by one to first I really take in this high school. It's my junior year, at a new high school. Everyone here has already made their connections, so I have to step it up to do even better. "And this is chemistry class, now I don't know about you but I love having science earlier in the morning, it gets kind of...-" as Lydia is rambling about bonds, and metals, I can't help but drift off when I see this one guy. He has chocolate brown fluffy hair, with a freckled face and plump pink lips. He moves his hand, now slightly covering his mouth. A glance over and a double take from him, and we lock eyes. Lydia still rambling as I can't take my eyes away from him. I send a small wave. When I receive one back a smile crosses my face. "I-wh-whos that??" I stutter, my own lips failing me. "Oh, him? That's Stiles. Between you and me, he's a bit...moronic." She sighs. Still whispering about him to Lydia while Stiles is just staring. "Well I think he's pretty cute..." I smile. The smile disappears from my face as Lydia yoinks me in a different direction. "Well let's try and focus on finishing this tour. Only 10 minutes left before second period." Lydia says airly, heels clicking and clacking across the linoleum flooring. My own shoes squeaking as I trip slightly.
