Hunters. A word people wouldn't bat an eye to— unless you were vegan.

But for those part of the supernatural, it's enough to evoke fear, fear for your loved ones, and fearing for your own life on top of that. Paranoia was a norm for those who had special abilities, mainly because..it wasn't exactly paranoia considering it was all true. If any hunter found out about your supernatural involvement, your life would be immediately at stake.

For Selene Marsh, that fear became a part of her life after learning of her werewolf genes the moment she turned thirteen— inheriting her abilities from both her parents. She was homeschooled for a while, training to gain control and manage her abilities. When she turned sixteen, she was allowed to return to school because she had finally managed to gain control— though, unfortunately, during that time, hunters had figured out a werewolf was amongst the students and it didn't take long to figure out who it was.

Hunters. A word that now made Selene recoil with memories after what they had done. When she was on her way home from school, they had followed her, their coordinated movements not being picked up by the blonde werewolf which gave them free reign to raid her home the moment she stepped foot into her safe space, ultimately turning it into a space of horror as wolfsbane-filled bullets zipped through the air along with arrows and smoke bombs.

Selene had managed to escape, heavy breaths filling her ears as she ran into the forest with a few wounds here and there but they could easily heal— especially with her abilities.

After heading back home, being met with her home wrecked and with metallic blood and wolfsbane filling her nostrils that wafted through the air, she reluctantly headed inside to find the hunters were gone. Along with her parents.

Since then, Selene promised herself that she would find them, find them alive and well— at least, that's what she convinced herself. However, she believed she needed more training— a voice in her head giving her the fault of what happened. If she had just listened and picked up on their footsteps, her parents would still be here. And so, Selene headed to the burnt household that held the last Hale— Derek Hale, in search of training considering he was older than her and had more experience and since she had heard he was back in Beacon Hills. Rumors spread fast in a small town.
