"Honestly, why is it so hot?" Alexa complained loudly again, I wasn't counting but I'm pretty sure this was around her 20th time saying the same thing. My auburn-haired friend took another gulp of her caramel latte before sighing in exasperation. Flash didn't seem to be paying attention to anything other then her phone while Misaki was shoveling spoons of strawberry ice cream down her throat. It was a normal mid-summer day in Seoul, South Korea when Seline was in practice and the rest of us had a free day. Due to the mutual boredom we decided to go Starbucks together and attempt to lighten up the mood a little. Now that we were here we were STILL bored so the plan didn't really work, well I mean, I guess it worked for Misaki because she was having fun eating so at least one of us was now having a good time.
Over the past months Luhan, Kris and Tao left EXO while Jessica left Girls Generation and that shattered quite a lot of people's hearts. Mine was included...I missed the Kung Fu Panda as we had grown to be quite close over the past months. I had texted him several times but he hadn't replied to me even once.
A small sigh escaped my lips as I thought about these past events for around the 50th time this week. I hated it, such perfect groups were falling apart. I could only pray that something like that would never happen to any other groups. Just as I was about to let another sigh escape me my phone rang with the wonderful tune of EXO's "Love me right." As I picked up my phone from the table, I could feel all of my friends' eyes on me. Looking at the caller ID a small smile appeared on my lips."Ye obo se yo?" A rather deep male voice half greeted, half asked on the other side of the telephone line. "Annyeong Kai-sunbaenim." I greeted causing Alexa and Misaki to jump on their feet. Flash's expression revealed interest however she kept her composure. Over the past months I had managed to learn a bit of Korean so now I could hold a decent conversation with someone without looking for words as much. SUCCESS! "Some of the members of EXO and I were wondering about your summer plans." He told me, causing a sudden wave of confusion to run over me. "Summer plans?" I repeated the question out loud. "Yes, your summer plans. What are they?"Kai asked again patiently. An embarrassed smile spread itself upon my lips as I looked at Flash. "I don't really have any." I muttered quietly. AISH I AM SUCH A PABO! THIS IS SO LAME! I HAVE NO SUMMER PLANS!
There was a pause on the other side of the line as I heard a couple of people arguing and a sound similar to that of a dropping phone. There was a pause. "Ye obo se yo?" A different, higher pitched male voice greeted. " Hello, is everything okay?" I asked, seriously what the hell was happening there, people were still shouting at each other in the background. "Yeah, anyways angel I was wondering if you wanted to come to the beach with me in a couple of weeks." I paused, Baekhyun is the only one who called me "angel." I'm pretty sure my friends could tell I was panicking as Flash pointed towards my face and then towards Misaki's strawberry icecream. Crap." Um, could I get back to you on that?" I asked cautiously, trying to hide the nervousness in my voice. "Yeah su-." For some reason however before Baekhyun could finish his sentence he seemed to be cut off by more weird shouting sounds that were hearable in the background. There was a small pause before a quite familiar annoying voice appeared on the other side of the line. "Hey, just so you know what Baekhyun actually meant was that all of EXO were going to a trip to the beach in a couple of days and that we wanted to invite not only you but your friends over as well. Don't get ahead of yourself." I glared at the table in front of me.
I didn't really know why, but Sehun hated me, and not just passively, he hated me with a flaming passion. Three days ago when I went to get EXO some bubble tea with him he purposefully made me get the flavours everyone disliked! It wasn't fair! What a douchebaguette! Most of the members were kind enough to try to drink it before Lay told me that I completely messed up. UGHHH!
"I never said I was, and besides sunbaenim, with that sort of invitation what would make you think I'll go?" I answered back rather politely but you could quite clearly hear the mocking undertone in my voice. I was trying to keep my cool and not shout at him profusely as he was my sunbae and in Korea younger singers have to have respect for their elders. "Oh so you would prefer it if I would ask you the way Baekhyun did?" I could clearly hear the smirk in the dancer's voice. It made me want to punch him in the face. "You wouldn't have to bother as I'm sure that it'll be to difficult for you to pull that off, sunbaenim." I told him as I crossed my legs and looked out of the window. Misaki and Alexa looked like they were dying to take the phone out of my hands by now. There was a brief pause on the other line as Sehun answered back annoyedly before the line was cut off. "Just don't forget to bring your friends." As I removed the phone from my ear and put it down on the table I turned to my friends with a wide grin "Ladies, we're going swimsuit shopping!"
