In the heart of the flourishing kingdom of Suryapuri, King Virendra and Queen Leelavati were beloved by all. Their rule brought peace and prosperity to the land, and their love for each other was the stuff of legend.

One serene evening, the palace was abuzz with excitement and anticipation. The queen was in labor, and everyone awaited the birth of the royal child. The king paced nervously outside the chamber, his heart pounding with a mix of joy and anxiety.

Inside, Queen Leelavati, a picture of grace and strength, endured the pain with quiet fortitude. The royal midwives and physicians attended to her with utmost care. Hours passed, and finally, the cries of a newborn filled the room.

"A daughter, Your Majesty," the chief midwife announced, presenting the child to the queen

"A daughter, Your Majesty," the chief midwife announced, presenting the child to the queen.

Queen Leelavati, though weak, managed a radiant smile as she held her daughter for the first time. "Vaidehi," she whispered. "Her name will be Vaidehi."

At that moment, the king entered, his eyes brimming with tears of joy. "Leelavati, my love, you have given us a beautiful daughter," he said, his voice trembling with emotion.

Leelavati looked up at her husband, her eyes filled with both love and sorrow. "She is our blessing, Virendra. Promise me you will take care of her."

"Don't speak like that, my queen," King Virendra implored, taking her hand. "You will be here to watch her grow, to guide her."

But Queen Leelavati's strength was waning. "Promise me," she repeated, her grip on his hand tightening for a brief moment before it slackened.

Tears streamed down King Virendra's face as he held her close. "I promise, Leelavati. I will protect her with my life."

With a final, loving gaze at her husband and newborn daughter, Queen Leelavati closed her eyes and took her last breath. The room fell silent, the joy of new life mingling with the profound grief of loss.
