It was currently 9 in the morning, the day after the party. As of now, Aila was laying in her bed having flashbacks of what had happened the night before. Smiling at the thoughts, she started kicking her feet in her blanket and giggling.

The feelings she had felt for Cyrus were becoming stronger every single time they had a conversation, or when he was near her at the dining hall or at the lighthouse. Turning over on her bed, she looked to see if there was a message, maybe a good morning. And to her surprise, there wasn't.

"Maybe he's still asleep" she thought as she went to scroll on instagram for a little bit, but then to check that he had posted. "Maybe it was from last night" she thought again. All these maybe's were giving her hope that he was just not awake, but they were shut down to see that he had posted a motivational quote, 5 minutes ago...

She found it weird, very weird. Cyrus never wasted time in texting her good morning but to see that he hasn't said anything to her, she found it weird.

Taking her mind off it, she plugged her phone back up and decided on getting out of bed. Sliding on her fluffy slides from TikTok shop, she headed towards her bathroom to wash her face off. Aila grabbed her Cetaphil facial cleanser and applied it all over, massaging it into her skin.

Patting her face off with her sage green towel, she headed back into her room applying her face cream she also got off of TikTok shop. Aila had no shame on purchasing things from TikTok shop, it was what spent most of her money. After finishing her skincare, she walked over back to her phone hoping that he had text her. And did he? No.

AIla wasn't one to overthink on these kinds of things but she thought because of the kiss that maybe they could be something, that maybe he liked her too. But to the lack of contact, she was guessing otherwise.

But on the other hand, Cyrus was overthinking on his own. He was going back and forth in his apartment on what happened last night. It wasn't like he didn't like her, he just didn't know how to proceed with them moving forward.

Over the couple of weeks, he did have feelings for her. It grew fast and once he started paying attention to their surroundings when they hung up, he got jealous over males looking at her. He wanted to be the only one that was looking at her or was able to look her. He wanted to be the only one that was able to make her laugh, he wanted to be the only one who listen to her dumb jokes or even watching her learn how to cook when they both know she can't. He wanted to be hers.

But the fact that he wanted this, scared him a little too much for his liking. Cyrus has never felt this strong feeling for a woman since his last girlfriend that he wishes to not remember out. So because of all of this, he ghosted on her.

Cyrus knew it wasn't right but he had done it, he didn't text her good morning and he posted on his story, and saw that she looked at it. Cyrus knew how bad Aila's overthinking could get her and he knew that if he was to get over this, he would need to reassure her this wouldn't happen again.

Still in his head, he decided to call his mom.

"Ahhhh Cyrus my son, how are you? Why haven't you called me? Do i need to come over there?" His mom scolded him with her heavy accent showing her scowl on her face.

"Lo siento mami, there's been a lot going on. Mami i need help" Cyrus apologized scratching his head. I need a retwist, maybe Aila can do it. When she starts to talk to me tho..

"Que paso? Te ves estresado" his mom said with concern.

Telling his mom of what happened, her face that was once filled with concern turned into a face of excitement.

"So that's why you haven't been calling me, you've been out with my future daughter in law. I like her already" she said clapping her hands, excited to tell Cyrus's dad of his new interest in Aila.
