Kai's voice came through the phone as Beomgyu sat at his desk in his room, pondering the situation. "I suppose it's beneficial for you in a way," he said. Beomgyu nodded, his thoughts still in turmoil. "Yeah, I guess so," he responded, the uncertainty remaining. "I wonder how he would have reacted if he recognized me," Beomgyu mused. "Would he hate me or accept my presence in his company?"

"You're overthinking way too much. It's already late, and you'll be late for the office tomorrow if you don't get some sleep," Kai's voice echoed through the phone, his words cutting through Beomgyu's thoughts. Beomgyu sighed, acquiescing. "Alright, alright. I'll go to sleep." He ended the call, shifting himself onto his bed and laying down as a flood of memories began to engulf his thoughts.

Early in the morning, Yeonjun stood by the elevator waiting for its descent together with his assistant, Taehyun. The CEO looked as sharp as ever, his imposing presence accentuated by the black suit that hugged his frame perfectly. His straight bangs falling over his eyes added to his sophisticated and elegant aura.

Just as the moment was serene, the sound of footsteps echoed through the hall, catching Yeonjun and Taehyun's attention. Yeonjun didn't pay it much mind, his gaze fixed on the elevator, when a familiar voice rang out, playfully addressing him. "Hi, my dear hyung," the voice said, accompanied by a warm smile.

Yeonjun was caught off-guard, his face now filled with anger. "Why are you here again?" he fumed, his voice tinged with irritation. In an attempt to contain his anger, he clenched his fists, a visible struggle playing out across his face.

Despite Yeonjun's anger, Soobin continued with a smile, his voice light. "Don't hate me too much; I'm just here to check up on you. No need to be so furious." Yeonjun's irritation only seemed to grow, his patience wearing thin. "I don't need your concern," he retorted, his voice laced with annoyance. "Just go back," he commanded, his words sharp. Soobin's smile remained, "You know," he said, the smile still on his face, "the anniversary of your father's death is nearing

Yeonjun totally ignored his sentence, "Don't just ignore! You have to come at least to put on a show," Soobin muttered, his tone intended to provoke. "The way you played the part at the funeral, crying your eyes out... it was pretty good show." Soobin said with a smile on his face, Yeonjun's blood boiled, and unable to control his anger, he abruptly grabbed Soobin's collar, his grip firm and tight.

Yeonjun's grip on Soobin's collar tightened, the tension in the air palpable.the crowd's attention had shifted to them.

Taehyun tried to intervene, attempting to calm him down. "Yeonjun, calm down," Taehyun said, his tone firm. "We're in the office. You need to control your emotions".

But Yeonjun was consumed by anger, his eyes filled with a burning intensity. He looked ready to lash out, the office spectators watching the unfolding scene anxiously.

As Yeonjun tried to regain control, Taehyun gently urged him to relax. "Everyone is watching, stop," Taehyun said, his voice filled with concern. Yeonjun took deep breaths, his frustration still palpable. In his haste to create distance, he forcefully pushed Soobin, causing him to collide with someone behind him.

Despite the force of the impact, Soobin managed to steady himself and stood upright, and turned as he became aware of the person who had fallen. "I'm sorry," he quickly apologized, offering a helping hand. He extended his hand, hoping the person would accept it and get back on their feet.

The person accepted Soobin's offered hand and gracefully used his support to stand up. As he lifted his bag from the ground, he casually looked up and met Soobin's gaze. However, Soobin's eyes were fixated on him, as if he recognized someone, a look of familiarity etched on his face. Yet, the person carried on with a relaxed demeanor, not fully grasping the reason behind Soobin's intense staring.
