The dimly lit briefing room in Fort Aegis hummed with the soft buzz of advanced technology. A holographic projection table stood at its center, casting an ethereal glow that illuminated the serious faces of Phoenix Squad. Captain Alex Ryder stood at the head of the table, his eyes scanning the faces of his team: Lieutenant Mei Tanaka, Sergeant Marcus Stone, and Engineer Zara Patel.

"Good day, Phoenix Squad," a calm, synthesized voice echoed through the room. Epsilon, their AI assistant, floated above the table. "This mission is critical to our understanding of Insectia and its inhabitants. Your primary objective is to establish contact with our allies on the other side of the portal and gather as much intelligence as possible."

The holographic map displayed an expansive view of Insectia, highlighting several key locations with pulsing markers.

"Upon arrival," Epsilon continued, "you will be met by an Aurelian Scout named Lysandra. She will escort you to your initial starting point, the Aurelian outpost known as Luminas, located on the outskirts of the Aurelian homeland, Aurelion."

Captain Ryder leaned in, his eyes narrowing. "What do we know about Luminas and Aurelion?"

"Luminas," Epsilon explained, shifting the map to zoom in on a fortified structure surrounded by lush greenery, "is a strategic outpost designed for defense and intelligence gathering. It serves as the first line of communication between the Aurelians and their allies. Aurelion, their homeland, is a vast region known for its healing flora and vibrant fauna. The Aurelian Guard, led by Commander Thalindra, is stationed there."

Sergeant Marcus Stone crossed his arms, his expression thoughtful. "And the Dipterean Order?"

The map shifted again, revealing dark, ominous regions marked with red. "The Dipterean Order," Epsilon said, "led by the Lord of Flies, has been expanding its influence and causing significant disruptions. Their primary base of operations is in the region of Noxara, a place of perpetual darkness and treacherous terrain."

Lieutenant Mei Tanaka leaned forward, her sharp eyes focused. "What's our first move upon arrival."

"Your first assignment," Epsilon replied, "is to make contact with Lysandra at the portal's exit point, known as the Nexus Gate. From there, you will journey to Luminas. Analyze the land, assess the local flora and fauna, and understand the societal structure of the Aurelians. This intelligence will be crucial for future operation."

Engineer Zara Patel adjusted her glasses, a determined look on her face. "What kind of resistance should we expect."

"While the Aurelians are expecting you," Epsilon warned, "be prepared for possible encounters with hostile Dipterean scouts or other unknown threats. Maintain a low profile and avoid unnecessary conflict."
