Tony walked Lilly into the elevator and watched her body language. She was still shaken up from the encounter with Vincent. She rubbed her arms, and started to calm down when Tony gently touched her shoulder. "You ok kid?"
She looked up at him and smiled. "Yes, I am, thanks to you."
"That's what I do. I protect the citizens of the city." Tony smiled as he pressed the button to the office below the penthouse. "This is the area where all of us hang out. The very top of my building is my house. It's where I live, others live in the floors below this floor. I have an extra room; I know you are going need one. You are not living with that asshole."
Lilly gasped. "Oh Tony, that is too much. You already gave me a job I can't impose on your building as well."
"Lilly it's not a problem, I would relax more to know that you are safe where we can watch over you. When I mean 'we' I mean the Avengers."
"Are they here now?"
"I don't know, it depends if they are done with the mission." Tony said as the door to the elevator opened and they both stepped into the room.
Tony watched as Lilly looked around in awe. "This place is so huge! I don't know how I am going to find my way around. I just know I am going to get lost."
He laughed as she continued to look around in a full circle. "Don't you fret my dear, you will get used to it. It is your first day. And I must say, I am impressed by you.'"
"Impressed? How? You don't really know me."
"Trust me on this Lilly, I am a great judge of character. There is something special about you. I can't tell what it is. Whatever it is it will surface, and it will be spectacular."
Lilly laughed. "That could be the part that I am missing from my memory. I hope that part of me comes back soon."
"Don't worry, with my technologically I am sure I can find a way to dig into your past. Best not to worry about that now." Tony said with a confident tone.
"Thanks Tony, that means a lot. Now what shall I start working on. I am eager to start working."
Tony chuckled. "There will be plenty of time for that. Right now, we need you to get better. Let our doctor and scientist take a look at your injuries." He said as he walked into another lab to find Bruce Banner.
Lilly looked at him and smiled. "Well, it's good to know that there is an onsite doctor at Avenger's tower."
Tony nodded. "Oh yes, it comes in handy a lot. But there is a warning about him. If one of us yells Code Green. Run."
"Code green?"
"You'll understand when you see it and hear it." He said as they walked into the lab. "Hey Banner, I would like you to meet my new intern, Lilly."
Bruce looked up to see who walked into the room. He was sitting behind a computer, when the two walked in. He looked up as he took off his glasses and placed it on his desk. He stood up and smiled. "Tony, what can I do for you."
Tony pushed Lilly forward. "This is Lilly, I just hired her."
Bruce smiled and shook her hand. "It's nice to meet you, Lilly. I look forward in collaborating with you, our last intern didn't...um... never mind. That is ancient history." He said as he cleared his throat when he looked at Tony and he gave him the 'don't you dare look'. "So, what can I do for you?" He said as he looked at Lilly
