I remember walking into my home so happy and joyful. Having fun Bible nights, fun movie nights, praying to God together, and me actually being ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑝𝑦. Now I walk into my home, exhausted, but I can't show it. All because of my rotten mother. She basically ruined Gianas childhood by forcing her to pray and read the Bible 24/7. Poor girl, she just wanted to watch Super Why. “Maeve. So glad you could finally come back home, how was your friends house?“ My mother asks, “polietly.“ “Fantastic mother! She's a joy to hang around.“ I say happily, putting on my fake persona. “That's wonderful to hear dear! So happy your being your normal happy self. Now, you have a Bible to read and God to pray to.“ My mom replies to me, chuckling as she continued washing the dishes. “Ok mother!“ I walk away happily, going upstairs and praying to God, then I read my Bible. I mean I have to admit, the Bible is pretty interesting and funny. Just then, Giana bursts into my room. “May I read with you? I lost my Bible.“ Giana pouts. I sigh. “Sure Gigi, want me to read it to you?“ I ask. Giana relaxes her head on my shoulder as I read the Bible to her, and me. 15 minutes later my mom comes to see what I'm doing. “There's Giana! Aw, your reading the Bible to her. What happened to her Bible tho?“ My mother smiles joyfully. “mama, I lost mine! I'm sorry. But I asked MaeMae if she could read it to me!“ Giana explains, smiling happily too. “Aw, that's sweet of you Maeve. You can read for about...17 more minutes.“ My mom then leaves my room, shutting the door. And if your wondering why a 5 year old has her very own Bible, don't ask, my mom is a very strict Christian, she even bought giana her own Bible. Heck, she bought everyone their own Bibles. 17 more minutes went by, I tuck Giana to sleep. “MAEVE, GET DOWN HERE PLEASE.“ My mom calls me down, I run down the stairs. “Yes mother?“ “I heard you told your friend that you didn't want to be a Christian anymore, is this true? And don't lie, you already sinned enough.“ My mother glares at me, angrily. “Ok, fine. I'm sorry, I don't want to be a Christian anymore, I'm tired of praying and reading the Bible every single day.“ I admit, looking down at the living room floor. My mother gasps. “Maeve Dodd how DARE you say that! God & Jesus love you so much and this is how you repay them? That's not my little girl.“ My mom yells. “I'm 14 now, I'm not a little girl anymore. And I don't believe in them.“ I talk back to my mother, my mother glares at me with a disappointed look. “I can't believe this. Everything they gave you, and you think they're just fantasy? How do you think we were made?“ my mother asks, starting to get a little upset. “I don't know, I just dont believe in them. Please don't yell at me I-“ I try to explain, but my mother cuts me off. “No, your just like your dad. Sinful, and let me guess, your gonna become some lustful girl? Unbelievable.“ My mom covers her eyes with her hands in frustration. “No, I'm never gonna be a slut I-“ I say, but my mother keeps cutting me off. “You go into your room and you better pray to God to forgive you, and go do a good night prayer. Now.“ My mother ordered. “𝑌𝑒𝑠, 𝑀𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟.“
