Tegan hopped out of bed and got ready for the day, she put on some baggy boyfriend ripped jeans and a white brandy Melville tank top. She put her hair in a slick back because it was greasy and hair wash day. She braided the ponytail then put her sunglasses on and headed for the door.
"Cute fit! What class do you have?" Azzi said before Tegan could reach the door. She was sitting on the couch, in her pjs, on FaceTime with Paige. "Uh Im gonna run and get coffee with a friend, want me to get you anything?" Tegan says awkwardly hoping Paige could hear her. "Which friend?" Paige asks from the phone. "No im good, have fun" Azzi says, saving Tegan from having to answer Paige's question.
Tegan left and headed to Lucy's coffee house. When she arrived she saw Hannah already sitting down at a table for two in the corner. She waved to Tegan and headed over to her. "Hi!" Hannah said side hugging her. "Hey! Did you order yet?" Tegan says "No I was waiting for you, what are you going to do to get?" Hannah asks looking up at the menu that was listed on the chalkboard wall. "Hmm I think an iced caramel latte and a omelette or breakfast sandwich" Tegan says after scanning the menu, "what about you?" She asks Hannah who's still reading the list of food "hmm definitely a açaí bowl" Hannah said, Tegan got a little sad hearing that cause it reminded her of Paige, was this the right thing to do, go on a date with a girl who's not Paige, I mean it's not like her and Paige are dating? "But I can't pick between a cappuccino or a smoothie" "well you're already getting smoothie-like ingredients from the bowl so maybe a cappuccino" Tegan says stepping up to order. Both girls order and sit down, waiting for their stuff.
"So how's dance going?" Hannah asks making conversation, "it's good, I love it, the team is the best and they immediately clicked with me and we're all like family now" Tegan says playing with her rings. "That's awesome! It's great to be on a team like that, it makes everything just better" Hannah says "haha, so do you guys play UCONN anytime soon?" Tegan asks "yes actually! We play them this weekend" "omg really! Wait is that why you're in Connecticut?" Tegan asks, the food just got delivered to their table so they thanked the barista and continued their conversation "ah no actually, I have family down here and a thing came up so I had to fly down here, but I go back to Iowa tomorrow morning "oh, is everything okay with your family?" "Ya just drama with my aunt and uncle" "I'm sorry, I hate drama" "ha well I guess there's nothing I can do about it"
There's an awkward silence between the girls, Tegan shoved her face with her breakfast sandwich and thought of conversation starters to bring up. "So weird question but, are you and Paige like a thing?" Hannah asks, Tegan almost chocked on her coffee. They chuckled as Tegan cleans her self up "no, I don't know why everybody thinks that, we're just good friends" "oh so your single?" "ya" "good to know" Hannah smirks "are you trying to ask me out, miss Hannah?" "Maybe, I mean if I bump into a gorgeous girl, I'm not letting her get away that easily" Hannah flirts. Tegan laughs it off, for some reason all Tegan could think about was Paige, and how she wanted to be here, drinking coffee, talking and laughing, with Paige.
"How was coffee?" Azzi asks, she was in the kitchen eating pancakes scrolling on her phone. "It was good" "so are you gonna tell me who your little friend is? Paige is not on the phone anymore pleaseeee?" Azzi jumps on Tegan as she sits on the couch. "Haha okay okay, Hannah Stuelke" Azzi gasps "like Hannah Sturlke Iowa?!" "Ya, I bumped into her at Crumbl last night and she DM'd me asking to grab coffee" Tegan said being chill, but Azzi was freaking out with excitement "Teags! You just went on a date!! AHH you know what this means? She definitely likes you!" Tegan blushed and threw a pillow at Azzi "nah it's not like that" "teag we play them this weekend, you have to make your move! Here text her and ask her to bring some friends after the game to meet up with us at a bar" Azzi says snatching Tegans phone from her. Tegan lets Azzi send the message, as they wait for a response
