CHAPTER 14

The next morning Tegan woke up, feeling Paige's hot breath on her neck, her arms were wrapped around Tegans naked body, pulling her close. Tegan hopped out of bed and slipped on one of Paige's oversized tee shirts. She put on some of her basketball shorts on as well and walked into the kitchen. Nika must have spent the night at her boyfriends because her bed was made and she was no where to be found.

Tegan pulled out the pancake mix, and turned the stove on. She whipped up some breakfast for the two, then hopped in the shower. When she got out Paige was standing at the door. "Hey lovey" She smiled at Tegan, who slid past her and put the oversized tee, and shorts back on.

"I made breakfast" Tegan said brushing her hair, walking out to the kitchen. Paige followed behind her and sneaked up and kissed her cheek, making Tegan giggle.

After breakfast Tegan managed to slip away to her dorm room. She had a class in a hour so she wanted to get changed into some of her own clothes.

When she opened the door she was met with a loud party popper, that made confetti fall to the ground. Tegan laughed at a smiley Azzi that was standing in front of her holding a cake. Tegan picked a piece of confetti off of her face then walked over to look at the cake.

The cake read 'POUND TOWN' in red frosting, and it had a picture of Paige and Tegan on it. "Azzi you did not" Tegan laughed. "Don't lie I know you went to pound town last night!" Azzi shimmied her shoulders, setting the cake down. Tegan snapped a picture of it then sat on the couch next to Azzi.

"So you know P's birthday is coming up" Azzi said, turning her phone off to look at Tegan. "Shit that went by fast! It's October-" "October 20th" Azzi finished. "FUCK! Your kidding?!" Tegan jumped "what's wrong?!" Azzi asked in confusion "that's the day we leave for UDA" "what's UDA and who's we?" "It's college Nationals that happens every year in Disney. The whole dance team goes and competes, it's like the final four" Tegan explains. "How long will you be gone for?" "I dont know it depends, at least 5 days, shit I'm gonna miss her whole birthday! What am I gonna do?!" Tegan said rubbing her hair through her hands "bring her along, she would absolutely love to go with you"

"mabye your right, okay so todays the 18th so should I tell her on her birthday and just wake her up early so she can pack?" "Ya that sounds good! She's easy it wouldn't take long for her to pack, she's gonna be so excited" Azzi sighed going back in her phone "Hey you know she will need someone to keep her company..." Tegan said looking at the girl who was pouting at her phone. "Az? Wanna come??" "REALLY?! DUH IM PACKING RIGHT NOW" Azzi jumped up from the couch, hugging Tegan then running to her room. Tegan laughed and decided she should probably pack as well.

Fast foward to the 20th, Paige's birthday, and the day they leave for Disney. Tegan set her alarm for 5:30 am so she could surprise Paige. They bus left for the airport at 12 so they had plenty of time.

Tegan ran to her car, watching the sunrise as she drove off to one of Paige's favorite doughnut, shop, Swiches Coffee & Donuts.
She got to the cafe around 6 and picked up a dozen donuts and two coffees.

She drove back to the dorms and called grumpy Nika to let her into their dorm. Tegan put the box of donuts on the counter of the kitchen and watched as Nika stumbled back to her room. Tegan laughed then carefully, slowly opened Paige's bedroom door. It was around 6:20 in the morning so she had a feeling Paige probably wouldn't want to be waken yet. So Tegan snuggled into Paige's comfy bed, next to her. She didn't touch or lay on Paige cause she feared it would wake her up. She layed there, looking up at the ceiling, when she felt two big hands pull her stomach into Paige's warm body. Paige spooned Tegan and Tegan so heard Paige's soft snores on her skin.

Tegan scrolled on TikTok with the volume low, trying to not wake up the girl laying next to her. She felt Paige's hand gently rub her skin, assuming she was awake, Tegan turned around to find her blue eyes staring into Tegans. "Happy Birthday Baby!" Tegan whispered, Paige smiled and looked at the girls lips. Paige could tell Tegan was blushing, even in the darkness. "Waking up next to you, is the best birthday surprise eva" Paige said in her raspy morning voice that made Tegan want to melt.

"Well what if I told you I had an even better birthday surprise for you" Tegan said as she cupped the girls cheek, her cold rings electrifying Paige's soft skin. "Oh and what would that be" "well if I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise, would it?" Tegan laughed, inches away from the girls face. "Oh come on Teag! Please just tell me" Paige begged. "Fine" Tegan gave in "would you like to join me for the week at Disney for my dance nationals? I already asked Azzi to come so you will have some company, and I get it if you don't want to come, it's a lot and a long week and you will be missing your birthday, cause if you do come, the flights in like 5 hours and-"

"Tegan! Shut up and kiss me!" Paige laughed at her rambling. Tegan gave Paige a long gentle kiss, eventually pulling away for air. "Of course I wanna go lovey! You always get to support me at my things so I finally wanna get to see you shine. And I wouldn't want to spend birthday any other way than to be with you. I love you" Paige said rubbing Tegans thigh, under the covers. Tegan smiled and snuggled her head into Paige's chest. "Alright well you gotta pack missy! Bus leaves at 12, chop chop!" Tegan said clapping her hands, yanking Paige out of bed. Tegan let Paige start to pack, she slipped out of the busy girls room and went into Nikas. "Niks wanna sing happy birthday with me?" She asked the sleepy girl. "Since you already woke me up" Nika said climbing out of her bed. "Fine babe" Nika sarcasticly smiled at her, mad that she woke her up.

Tegan and Nika opened the box of donuts quietly, and placed them on a plate, putting the one that said 'Happy Birthday' in the middle. They kicked open Paige's door and sang to her. "Aw thanks y'all!!" She said as she hugged the two, blowing out the small candle.

"Are these from Swiches Coffee & Donuts?!" Paige asked taking a bite of one. "Yep" Tegan smiled as she placed the plate on the kitchen counter. "These are my favorite! Wait how did you get them? They are always sold out" she asked stuffing her face with the donuts. "I woke up a little early" Tegan said picking a donut from the plate. "Aww lovey, thank you" Paige said, leaning over the counter, placing a sweet kiss on Tegans lips. Tegan licked the frosting from her lips that Paige had left, tasting a sweet strawberry sugar.

"Ok y'all we get it your cute, stop making me feel more single" Nika said after swallowing her bite of the donut. "What?! What about your boyfriend?!" Tegan asked "I broke up with him, turns out after that dinner we attempted to have, he told me he was homophobic and I couldn't be in a relationship with someone like that. I mean my two best friends here are gay, hell I love gay people!" Nika said throwing her hands up.

"Aw Niks" Paige said as Nika gave her a look. "P how's the packing coming" Nika asked "wait you knew about this?" Paige asked surprised "yes obviously, Tegan wouldn't stop texting me about it, she was very worried you wouldn't want to go but I told her you would say yes in a heart beat" Nika teased, embarrassing the girl.

"I'm leaving now! I gotta finish up packing a few things but I will come get you before the buses load." Tegan said walking to put her shoes on. "Ok I love you, see you soon!" Paige rushed to the girl and gave her a kiss then watched as she walked out the door. "Oh P your down bad" Nika teased.
