Alas, I went out to my room, the attic. Although some might say that it's stinky and not maintened but for someone like me it's the only place where I found my solace. I seldom went to the other rooms if I was ordered but the most frequent place I visited was the kitchen. The attic was made in a separate abandoned tower. That was pretty advantageous. Unless you don't go against their orders, they'd ignore you like you never existed. Even though I feel very comfortable with this arrangement,I doubt how she would have felt to be ghosted by her own blood family.

The reason she was kept like that was still unknown to me. Maybe it was related to her mother Rufela, a famous musician back in her age. They said to have fallen in love at first sight and decided to spend their life together. But fate had other plans, the Duke's arranged marriage was already pushing him to the aisle. Despite being loved by his wife, Princess Bella, he was not happy at all. Some of the servants even gossiped how the princess was obsessed with the Duke that she even tried to push Rufela out of the way. Things escalated even more when she heard that Rufela was pregnant. She threatened the Duke to commit suicide if he was to ever bring that woman home.

The Duke paid no heed to her words and on the day of Rubelia's birth; both of them died. Bella jumped from the window of her room and Rufela died from the intense child labour due to servants' negligence just after giving birth to Rubelia.

Thus the the child was declared as the Devil's child by the priests and was onlooked by everyone in that nation.
