Emily opened her eyes and blearily glanced at her phone, seeing a message notification from her boss. Her heart skipped a beat as she quickly read the email and saw the words "Congratulations" staring back at her. She had gotten the job.
She sat up in bed, a small smile spreading across her face. Part of her was excited about the opportunity, but a larger part of her was still wrapped up in thoughts of him. She needed someone to talk to about it, someone to help her make sense of her feelings.

Emily quickly got out of bed and made her way to the shower, her mind still racing with thoughts of the job and her new boss. As she stood under the hot spray of water, she couldn't help but remember the way he had looked at her, the way his voice had sent shivers down her spine. She knew she needed to talk to someone about it, someone who would understand and offer some perspective. So, she quickly dried off and got dressed, grabbing her phone to call her best friend, Sasha.

Emily quickly dialed Sasha's number, her heart racing with excitement and nervousness. Sasha picked up after a few rings, her cheerful voice filling the line.
"Hey, girl! What's up?"
Emily took a deep breath before replying,
"Hey, Sasha. Can you come over? I need to talk to you about something."
"Sure thing,"
Sasha said, her voice tinged with curiosity.
"Is everything okay?"

Emily exhaled, trying to figure out where to start. "Yeah, everything's fine," she said. "It's just... something happened yesterday, and I really need to talk to someone about it."
"Oh?"
Sasha replied, her voice dripping with intrigue.
"I'm on my way right now. But can you give me a hint about what this is about? You have me dying with curiosity here!"

Emily chuckled at Sasha's eagerness.
"Fine, fine,"
she said.
"No hints. But I really do need you to come over right now. It's important."
There was a pause on the other end of the line, and Emily could picture Sasha pouting at being denied a hint. But when she spoke again, her voice was serious.
"Okay, I'm on my way. But this better be good, girl!"

Emily let out a relieved sigh as she hung up the phone. She knew Sasha would come over soon, and she also knew that she needed to clear her thoughts before she spilled everything. She quickly made a cup of coffee and sat down at the kitchen table, trying to organize her thoughts.
As she sipped her coffee, her mind was filled with images from the day before: the interview, their first meeting, his smirk, his eyes, his touch. She couldn't seem to get him out of her head, no matter how hard she tried.

It was maddening, really. She had never reacted to a man like that before, had never felt so completely overwhelmed and consumed by someone's presence. It was as if he had awakened something in her, something deep and primal. And the worst part was, she couldn't tell if it was just physical attraction or something more.

Emily took another sip of her coffee, trying to calm her racing thoughts. She had always prided herself on her composure and level-headedness, but he had reduced her to a stuttering mess with just a few words and a touch of his hand. It was infuriating and exhilarating at the same time.

But beneath the confusion and frustration, there was a part of her, a small but persistent part, that craved more of him. She wanted to feel his touch again, wanted to hear his voice in her ear, wanted to see that smirk on his face. She tried to push those thoughts away, but they kept resurfacing, like buoys on a tumultuous sea.

As she sat at the kitchen table, lost in her thoughts, the doorbell rang, jolting her back to reality. She stood up and made her way to the door, opening it to reveal Sasha standing there, her face a mask of curiosity and concern.

"Hey, girl," Sasha said, stepping into the apartment. "You sounded so mysterious on the phone. What's going on?"
Emily closed the door behind her and led Sasha to the living room, gesturing for her to take a seat. "Just promise me you won't laugh," she said, feeling nervous all over again now that Sasha was here.
