The sound of birds chirping reached Roses ear, and the abrupt sound of a shower turning off made Rose open her eyes.

Rose slowly set up rubbing the sleep from her eyes when a voice spoke behind her

"Hey girl, you're finally awake! you had me worried. I thought you were going to sleep through the whole afternoon, " Mia said, laughing.

A towel was wrapped around her, with another one drying her hair.

Rose looked at Mia with a confused expression.

"I tried to wake you up for breakfast, but you were dead asleep"

Mia grabbed a brush off of her desk and started brushing her hair

"What time is it?"

"Just turned 1:36, They're still serving lunch in the cafeteria if you are hungry"

Rose shook her head. "I just had the most vivid dream I think I've ever had," Rose said slowly, seemingly unsure.

"What was it about?"

Rose stared at the ground for a few seconds before answering.

"We were all in it... But we weren't ourselves if that makes Since"

"Hmmm, yeah, I think I get what you're trying to say. Oh, by the way, when you were asleep, you got a package. "

Mia gestured to a small paper wrapped package sitting on Roses dresser

"It was on the doorstep this morning when I went out for breakfast. It doesn't say who it's from but your name is on it"

Rose pushes the sheets off of her as she climbs out of bed.

Her bed head hair still managing to fall around her face beautifully she

got to the bathroom and stared at her face in the mirror. She focused her vision on her one closed eye before sighing before picking up her eye patch and putting it on.

"You know girl, I truly don't understand how you can wear that all the time it's got to be annoying on your face like that" Mia said from the other room

"You get used to it. I've had it for so long that I don't even notice it really anymore"

Rose finished up in the bathroom by brushing her teeth and hair before coming back into the main room

Mia was now standing by her bed staring down at three different outfits, her face slightly scrunched as she was trying to decide.

Mia opened her mouth to speak but Rose Cut Her Off

"The middle one" Rose said

Mia let out a short laugh "You need to get out of my head it's scary sometimes"

Rose opened her dresser and pulled out a white sundress

"Nope you're stuck with me forever" Rose said smiling.

Mia finished putting her outfit on before walking over to Rose

"Hey, for real, though, are you okay? You seem really out of it"

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just still waking up, that's all"

"Okay, well, if you need me, I'm a phone call away, I'm going over to my parents' house, but I'll be back in a couple of hours"

"I promise I'm fine. Go have fun"

Mia gave Rose a tight hug

"Make sure you don't stay in the apartment all day. You need to go out and see the sun"

Rose nodded her head And waved Mia off.

She finished putting her dress on and then went on to try to put her hair in a ponytail.

After fighting with her hair for a while, she finally got it all up. She sat down on her bed, staring at the brown package.

She finally got the courage to pick up the package off her dresser.

She carefully grabbed it, Then sat back down She stared at the package in her hands before opening it.

She ripped the brown paper away, revealing a purple box.

She took a deep breath before lifting the lid off. Everything slowed down her breathing, her thinking, Even the birds chirping stopped being replaced by the drumming in her ears.

She stared wide-eyed at the content of the box before throwing it on the ground, getting it as far away from her as possible.

As it hit the ground, the contents spilled out.

A pair of ornate scissors clattered to the ground, along with a small handmade doll of rose and a strand of silver hair...
