The light she emits after consuming such dark,
Lead to a depth which none could embark.

Left to fend herself in the storm,
Even though she embraced them with such warmth.

Left to walk through the path of glass,
Continued with a resilience that no one could surpass.
Left crippled, stumbled and unable to walk,
yet she ran and upheld the stock.

Even when she begged for mercy,
She's shushed everytime she talks,

Bought from a castle to a winsome prison,
Bounded from having an opinion.

Like a bird trapped by a gold cage,
Strained to sit in her quiet rage,

Dreaming of setting her wings free,
But held back by the one which deemed to be me,

Stole the key and set her free,
Resulted in me having to sit there as she.

I could discern the world around me, yet tied down despite my plea,

Forced my freedom to renounce,
While I sit there in this beautiful glasshouses
