(Chapter 6)

The preciousness of life

~*~

Author POV

Life awoke with warmth surrounding them. It was a disorienting feeling, for they were used to the bitterness of cold. Feet slipped from the bed colliding with a bizarrely textured floor. Life's golden eyes glanced around the room, it was strangely disconnected.

The room seemed both real and not all in one, it was continuously changing shape, never settling for long. Yet Life was unfazed by this, somehow this all felt familiar. Skin that seemed to glow in the vast darkness surrounding them illuminated him. It almost felt like they had been consumed by endlessly dark void, no sign of an exit or entrance to be seen, just a vastitude of nothing.

The image of a door appeared in Life's mind, one painted a sunshine yellow, the hinges a bronze colour. Life imagined that door opening, the other side had no path but Life stepped over the threshold all the same. A smooth floor greeted his bare feet, the soft padding sound as he walked echoed over and over through the void without end.

"So you've awoken" another being stood in the strange corridor.

"Yes" Life's voice was melodic.

"Come" the other being walked away, barely making a sound. They had a shimmer of blue illuminating them, much like Life's gold.

"Where are we going?" Life inquired, their pace slow and steady as they walked side by side the other being.

Electric blue eyes turned to cast upon Life's face. Their gaze briefly lingered upon the golden scar across Life's throat, evidence of an unnecessary death.

"To create a galaxy".

Golden eyes met electric blue, a mutual understanding between them. Before they continued to walk.

"How long have I been asleep?" Life inquired.

"Ask Time your question, they await you." A door appeared before them, it opened itself and the beings stepped through.

Time looked over the vastness of the new galaxy they had created. Space had pulled the void into existence giving it everything it could need for the solar system to thrive. Reality had created the borders of the new galaxy preventing its collision with already existing galaxies. Carving its own space in the known universe.

However without Life the others could not do their work. Death require Life to grant its gift, Evolution required Life to begin the process, Power needed the beginning of consciousness to establish its ability and finally Time would play its part upon the living. But they all required Life.

So when the golden glow graced the hall, relief could be felt and shared harmoniously.

"How long have I been asleep?" Life's voice was just as they remembered it.

"Time works differently here, it always has. But if you wish to go by the time system of the planet you just died upon, 3 months" Time responded, voice flat and even as always.

"Died upon?" Life's voice became a tremble.

"You decided to see a selection of your creations up close, living a life with them. They killed you in return, the scar about your throat is the way they did it" Space traced the line of the scar in the air. Life's hands reached up to grab at their throat, a look of panic within their eyes.

"I don't remember" they looked confused, a hand tracing the raised scar upon their throat.

"That is common, our minds are complex for we have existed since the beginning of everything. It will take time for everything to align within your mind. Soon you will forget the life of Jimin and become Life once more." Reality spoke, the ruby red glow of their body and luminous eyes, always a rational speaker, blunt with reason.

"What if I don't want to forget? I can't even remember the life now, it is like it is within a haze." Life looked unsure of themselves.

"There are ways to access the memories you seek, meditation often helps. Quieting your mind allows space for memories to filter through." Time revealed, their green eyes transfixed upon Life.

"Why do you call me Life?" those unsure golden eyes cast across the six beings before them.

"Because that is what you are" Reality stated plainly.

"What do you know of galaxies?" Space spoke soon after.

"That they have several planets, a sun and infinite darkness between them. At least that is what I saw when I looked up from when I was on Jimin's planet" Life looked confused, perhaps memories of his life on the planet were catching up with his memories of being a creator.

"We are the Creators. The beginning of all known things in the universe." Space continued.

"I am Time, I was the first." A dimpled smile followed, those luminous green eyes held a soft look for Life.

"You came next, as Life you introduced new things into the galaxies, you birthed planets from nothing, created life upon those planets. You even created living creatures that travel in space not constricted by a planet." Space seemed to hold him in high regard, a excited glimmer to his electric eyes.

"You went crazy with excitement for all the things you created, the planets were beginning to be overcrowded. So Death was born" Space gestured to the short being, their dark purple glow and eyes seemed to be the perfect opposite to Life's golden aura.

"The scales are out of balance. We must work together once more, when your memories return come and see me" Death spoke, their voice was soft and their eyes became more haunting the longer Life looked into them. He was looking directly into the face of Death itself.

Death seemed to be unable to remain, a door appearing behind them, they stepped through and disappeared.

"Death has found it hard without you Life. Despite being the personification of it Death does not enjoy its ability, they delight in the life you bring. They have loved you for years, so when he felt the death of Jimin it hurt them." Time spoke, their eyes lingering upon where Death had once stood.

"I came next" Space explained with excitement trying to diminish the somber mood. "As I said you went crazy with creating planets, so their needed to be some space between them. So that's what I did." Space stated proudly, they clearly too pride in their work.

"But you were endless, so I need to be created to establish borders. I am Reality, it is good to see you once more." Reality inclined their head.

"I'm Evolution, but if you want you can call me Jungkook, I lived a life upon a planet like you did once. My life ended much the same as yours" if Life looked closely enough he could see a faint glowing pink line running down into the clothing Jungkook wore.

Life remained silent, so it would seem he wasn't the only one would had experiences with death.

"It is a flaw of ours, wishing to see our creations up close. The often don't share the love we hold for them. I am ashamed sometimes of the way they evolve, for it is my ability." Jungkook's head hung, Life could understand.

"Then we shall continue to love them until we can live a full life alongside them. For each creation has potential" Life wasn't sure where the words came from but he knew they were true.

"I am Power" the final being spoke, clearly getting frustrated for how long they had to wait for their introduction. "We shouldn't be waiting, we have a galaxy to create." Power walked towards the wall that seemed to house a window.

"I fear Power is correct, summon Death the timeframe for creation is narrowing" Time spoke.

"But he cannot remember." Space gestured to Life.

"His mind may not, but his body will"
