Her name was Alina. She had just turned five and was starting Pre-K today. She had Fruity Pebbles cereal with a slice of cinnamon sugar toast. That was her favorite.
His name was Xander. He would be six in a month and barely made the qualifications to be accepted into Pre-K instead of 1st Grade. He had a sunny side up egg with a cinnamon roll for breakfast. That was his favorite.
Xander's POV
After I finished eating my breakfast my dad called from the car "Xander hurry up you'll be late!!" So I rushed to slurp down the rest of my egg and bring the rest of my cinnamon roll with me. I LOVE cinnamon rolls. "Xander we've talked about this before! When you bring cinnamon rolls in the car you have to bring napkins." "Sorryyyy daddd." He sighed in my direction and started the car and by the time I had finished my couple of bites, we were at school. He dropped me off and I rushed inside.
Alina's POV
I finished eating all of my food and got my things being ready at the door for when my dad called out "It's time for your first day of school!!" "Daddd I'm at the doorrrr." He rounded the corner and smiled with my mom peeking over his shoulder. "Alina honey, you look so pretty today." I smiled even brighter "Thanks momma! Now let's go so I'm not late!!" They both laughed and followed me to the car. I got buckled in my seat and watched out the window only to end up at the school before I could even focus on anything. "We're here?" I thought out loud. I shrugged my shoulders, waved my parents bye, and went into my school only to realize I have no idea where I'm going. There was a boy with dark brown curly hair and pretty green eyes so I thought he may know where he's going.
Alina tapped on the boys shoulder and said "Hey do you know how to get to this class?" She pointed to the paper in her hand with a room number written on it. It looked familiar to him. He looked at his own paper and realized they are going to the same place. "No." The boy paused then continued "my mom brought me here but I've forgotten." She then exclaims "Great" in what sounded like a slightly sarcastic tone. She looked at the boy and held out her hand "My name is Alina." He looked confused and asked "Why are you putting out your hand?" She shrugged and bow looked a little confused herself. "I'm not aure but I've seen my mom and dad do it when they meet someone new." He looked at her hand for a second then told her his name. He held out his hand now and said "My name is Xander." She smiled and shook his hand like she's seen her parents do a thousand times before. This made him smile a little. She now looked a little shy but she asked him "Since we have the same class do you want to be friends?" He looked unsure at first but eventually smiled a small smile and gave her one big nod. Then they both smiled and just when they had become friends, a teacher came up to them and took then to their class.
