Subhi walked back to her house, each step feeling heavier than the last. Tears streamed down her cheeks, blurring the path ahead. She struggled to understand why everything had turned so sour. The pain of Ravit's harsh words pierced her heart repeatedly, leaving her feeling more vulnerable and lost than ever before.

As she reached her doorstep, she could hear her parents calling her name from inside the house, their voices laced with concern. But Subhi ignored them, pushing the door open and heading straight for her room. She closed the door behind her with a soft click, shutting out the world.

Throwing herself onto her bed, Subhi clutched her pillow and cried. The soft fabric muffled her sobs, absorbing her anguish. Memories of Ravit's cold expression and the venom in his words replayed in her mind. She couldn't understand why her best friend, the one who had always been her rock, was now treating her like an enemy.

"What did I do wrong?" she whispered into the silence of her room, her voice trembling. "Why is he so angry at me?"

Amid her sobs, fragments of happier times flickered in her memory. She remembered her recent birthday, when Ravit had surprised her with a party. The way his eyes had twinkled with excitement as she had blown out her candles, the joy in his laughter when they had teased each other about the silly gifts-it had all felt so genuine, so full of friendship and... something more.

"Maybe... maybe I do have feelings for him," she admitted to herself, the realization mingling with her tears. But the thought of losing him, of Ravit walking out of her life, was unbearable. She couldn't let their friendship end like this, not over a misunderstanding she didn't even fully grasp.

Wiping her tears, Subhi sat up, her resolve hardening. She would talk to Ravit one more time. She would try to explain, to mend whatever had broken between them. If he still refused to listen, if he continued to push her away, then she would have no choice but to step back, to protect herself from further hurt.

"I can't lose him," she murmured to herself, determination replacing the despair in her voice. "But if he doesn't want me in his life, then I'll have to let him go."

Subhi took a deep breath, her heart heavy but her mind clearer than before. She knew what she had to do. Tomorrow, she would go to Ravit's place and talk to him. She would make him understand, or at least try her best. And if he still wanted to end their friendship, she would respect his wishes, no matter how much it hurt.

With that decision made, Subhi lay back down, exhaustion overtaking her. Her tears had dried, leaving a dull ache in their wake. But there was a new determination in her heart-a spark of hope that maybe, just maybe, she could fix things between them.

"Tomorrow," she whispered to herself, her eyes closing as sleep finally claimed her. "Tomorrow, I'll try again."

The morning sun warmed the backyard, casting long shadows from the trees and fencing. Subhi's heart raced as she walked through Ravit's house. His mother, Meera, had been surprised to see her but had directed her to the backyard with a polite smile.
