Wooyoung's fingers delicately traced the outlines of a masquerade mask. It was white, covered in glitter lace, and had sharp corners. When Wooyoung lifted it up to his face to get an idea of how it'd look on him, his eyes were still perfectly visible and the form of the mask complemented the upper half of his face in a way that was nearly magical.

"As if it was made for you," San completed his thoughts when he walked up to him. That startled Wooyoung and he removed the mask from his face again, a thin smile forming on his lips. "Are you nervous?"

Wooyoung's smile turned into something more soft. He shook his head and looked at himself in the mirror, eyes scanning his appearance. Wooyoung was wearing a complete white outfit. His white shirt was tucked neatly in his dress pants and a white blazer hugged his hips perfectly. This was definitely out of his comfort zone but he liked how different, how special, it made him feel.

"Like a swan."

A chuckle escaped Wooyoung's lips. "What is that supposed to mean?"

The corner of San's lips lifted the slightest while he fumbled with his own masquerade mask in his hands. That one looked similar to Wooyoung's with the major difference that it had a white flower on the right side. San didn't look at him when he spoke his words.

"It means you look beautiful, Wooyoung."

His stomach dropped at that. He wasn't sure what he expected, but that most certainly wasn't it. Wooyoung felt the heat rush to his cheeks and only hoped it wasn't noticeable. San wasn't even dressed up yet and his hair was still damp, but he was still so beautiful to Wooyoung in this state already. The latter was almost scared to face San later once he was ready.

Today was the Saturday Wooyoung had been looking forward to for a while now. They were not only in Rome but were also getting ready for the masquerade ball San had organized, and all of this was so exciting to Wooyoung that he nearly felt his knees give in due to all the excitement. They'd stay for a few days and mostly spend time in San's casino, but he also promised them to do some sightseeing, so that also played into Wooyoung's enthusiasm.

It didn't take longer than an hour until San was also ready to go. When both stood across from each other, Wooyoung let his eyes wander over San's whole presence, not even trying to be subtle with it. San looked insanely gorgeous in the white dress shirt and that cream-colored suit vest that complimented his waist perfectly. He was busy closing the last button around his wrist while a weak smirk formed on his lips.

"Done staring?"

How does he always catch me doing that without even looking at me?! Then Wooyoung's heart skipped when San met his eyes, dimples showing almost immediately. "Let's get going."

And so they did. Mingi was driving, Yunho was looking out of the window with wide eyes while he took in the scenery, and San was typing and staring at his phone. Wooyoung tried to catch a glimpse of what San was so interested in but didn't have much success with that, so he pulled his phone out as well and sent Yeosang a picture he had taken earlier of the nice view they had from their hotel room.

Wooyoung had to think back to the weekend they spent in Las Vegas and how much had changed since then, because this time, San had intentionally booked a room with only one bed. At least that's what he assumed. And it just made Wooyoung smile a little. Back then San was so panicked and scared he didn't want to share the bed with Wooyoung at all cost and now this was almost normal to them. Maybe it was Jieun booking the room again and San just didn't bother having it changed this time because Wooyoung knew he didn't have a problem sleeping next to him anymore. And was that enough to make his heart flutter? Definitely.
