It was a bright day on the planet of Christophsis, and Y/N was enjoying the soft breeze. Observing from the top of a building, the blue surface of the planet reflected a monotonous hue into the mercenary's eyes. Luckily, he wasn't here to admire the landscape. Instead, he was here to help the C.I.S. take Christophsis.
The once peaceful silence was disturbed by the sudden thunder of battle droids marching past his building. Their synchronized steps reverberated through the streets, creating an ominous rhythm. Y/N was primarily here to observe and watch how the Republic's trap would turn against them. The droids got closer to the two towers as Y/N watched the events unfold through his electrobinoculars, his breath steady and focused.
Eventually, the droids split into three columns and marched towards the towers. Their metallic forms gleamed under the sun, a stark contrast to the planet's cerulean surface. As more battle droids ascended the structures, Y/N shifted his attention to the south tower. He knew the droids would reach there first. It didn't take long for fighting to break out, with blue and red blaster bolts zipping past each other, lighting up the battlefield like deadly fireworks.
In response to the unfolding battle, Y/N pulled his sniper rifle from his back, placing it down and preparing to fire. He adjusted the scope, taking a deep breath as he aimed at the approaching Republic forces. The tension in the air was palpable, every moment stretching into an eternity as the conflict escalated. Y/N's finger hovered over the trigger, ready to tip the scales in the C.I.S.'s favor with a single, well-placed shot.
The rifle was a blend of dark wood and metal, exuding a rugged elegance. Its long, sleek barrel promised deadly accuracy, while intricate golden inlays on the wooden body hinted at a storied past. Exposed metallic mechanisms added a futuristic touch, seamlessly integrated into the traditional design.
A ribbed grip behind the trigger provided comfort and control, leading to a sturdy wooden stock reinforced with metal brackets. The well-worn leather strap, attached for easy carrying, suggested the rifle had seen many battles. This weapon was both a tool of war and a symbol of craftsmanship, ready for a skilled marksman.
Suddenly, the loud chattering of windows echoed through the battlefield, though Y/N couldn't hear it from his vantage point. However, he saw through the corner of his scope how some cables were launched into the side of the building. Shifting his attention to the right, he noticed clones, along with a Jedi, ziplining across the gap between the two towers.
In the haste of the moment, Y/N took a quick shot aimed at one of the clones. He hit the clone spot on despite the distance and speed, and the body plummeted down; if the shot didn't kill him, the fall surely did. Emboldened by his success, Y/N decided to target the Jedi and try another shot. Unfortunately, he missed the Jedi by a narrow margin, though it was likely the Jedi would have easily deflected the shot.
